Using Rolands RPC-1 Card/ADA-7000 interface with Mixcraft
I'm tickled pink that my Roland RPC-1 interface PCI card & ADA-7000 (8ch preamp/output/RBUS interface) works perfectly with Mixcraft (got the pro version) I had absolutely no issues hooking it up for the 1st time . See the 1st photo where I'm selecting which of 8 RPC-1 inputs to use for each cha...

Re: Using Multiple interfaces - or Digital input
Tree1blues, did you wind up buying another interface to get more than 2 inputs? I tried the suggestion of using WaveRT instead of ASIO. That still only allowed one interface, but it also allowed the use of the computers audio inputs. Of course the quality of the computers line in isn't as good as a ...

DEXED, a free DX7 VST
I loaded DEXED into Mixcraft , a free DX7 VST . This ones very good if you love the DX7!. And the number of free patches available online seems endless. You definitely should load it into Mixcraft's VST folder and play with it. This one has a great looking edit(programming) window , for us old prog...

Re: external MIDI clock and messages
Dan, I'm having the same problem of syncing Mixcraft to external MIDI devices. Has there been a mod to add the song start/stop MIDI commands? If so I can't find it. Maybe add a start/stop option to the drop down menu list in the Sound/Step editor window . (along with vol, vel, etc) Then I could just ...

Re: Need to Filter Imported MIDI files
Thank you Anorax! I did find that just as you posted your comment. I was just a little impatient and posted before finding it. I figured Dan must have had that feature somewhere. The old files I have were done on an Atari ST in the 80's, they're .MUS files. So I'm having to play them on my ST while ...

Re: Need to Filter Imported MIDI files
Can you put a patch change in the middle of a MIDI track ? I haven't found out how to do it yet. I'm using Mixcraft 7 Pro edit: I found the program change feature in the Sound/Step tab window, pulldown list. The default is velocity, click on the arrow to find other CC's. Whatever select is shown in ...

Need to Filter Imported MIDI files
Anybody figured out if Mixcraft can filter out controller messages in MIDI files done with other software ? Problem I have is patch changes are in each of my MIDI files and I need a feature to remove or turn them on/off. Without this feature I can't use VST's or Mixcraft's library , or other keyboar...

Re: Anyone using an Ultra HD display with Mixcraft?
Thanks M.
I am using 2 and sometimes 3 screens. There are advantages to 2 smaller screens when maximizing windows, over one huge screen.
I haven't looked yet into which combination gives lowest CPU usage.

Anyone using an Ultra HD display with Mixcraft?
Has anyone tried using Mixcraft with an Ultra HD display? (4x HDTV resolution) I almost bought a large Ultra HD TV just to use with Mixcraft. That's because I'd like to unlock windows and keep several up at a time when doing setups and editing. With a 4x HDTV, I'd like to be able to stretch out the ...

Re: "Pan" vs "Pan Increment" in Control Surface Details
Thanks for the quick replies Greg. The SI-24 is compatible with ProTools, LogicPro & Cubase, so I was thinking it would work fine with Mixcraft too. Everything works except for the pans, and not getting a return for the motorized faders or button LEDs. edit: there's a ton of SI-24's and VS-2480'...

Re: "Pan" vs "Pan Increment" in Control Surface Details
I was hoping Pan Increment was what would work with my Roland SI-24 board, which sends out 2 CC values depending on which way you rotate the pan knob, 1&127, or 127&1. After using MIDI learn, the pan goes full right or full left, no I between.

What exactly is the difference between Pan and Pan Increment?
What CC codes and values is Mixcraft expecting?

Monitoring Mixcrafts pan controls output
Tom, Thanks for the reply. I'll have to use 2 computers for that. (Need 2 because MIDI Yoke won't work on my 64bit machines) No matter, I have more than one MIDI interface, I'll hook up 2 computers and check. I did mention about trying this in an earlier post, just haven't done it yet. My guess is M...

Re: Trying to pgm Roland's SI-24 control surface with Mixcra
That's it exactly Tom, Mixcrafts response to the pan is hard left or hard right. I used Midi-Ox, a great Midi Monitor freebee, to verify the pan knobs did that. That's why I was excited to see the pan increment CC in Mixcrafts Control Surface Details window. Sounded like maybe pan increment would re...

SI-24 faders do move Mixcrafts pan left to right
Tom,
I did do that, accidently actually. Yes the SI-24 faders will move the Mixcraft's pans from left to right.
