Re: Separating effect from original signal

If you put the reverb on a send track, you could solo and hear only the reverb.
If thats what you mean....

Re: Mic volume very low

Have you tried the xlr cable with phantom power activated on the interface?

A condenser generally requires a power source for its internal circuitry to function.

Re: Clipping on the Master Fader

I am also not certain, but dont think MX6 had that capability.

You could put a gain plug-in at the first slot on the master bus though.

Still, have to suggest an update. V6 is really pretty old. Ann aweful lot of improvements since then.

Re: Did ya Ever?

I am not sure I understand the question Trevor? I always assumed it was a somewhat metaphorical jazz number about "getting together" via a ride on the "A-train" Which I assume would be a mass transportation/subway line in the big city. But what do I know. I'm a country boy who avoids all things "big...

Re: Dry Track / Send Effect to Different Channel

You could duplicate the track, apply the desired effect to the duplicated track and pan/blend as desired.
Or you could use a send bus, but its probably not the ideal method for what you propose.
Theres probably a dozen other ways as well. I'd say keep it simple.....

Re: file size

The file size I am referring to is of the song itself. Song file? Project folder? As I previously stated, I don't think it matters. And FWIW, I have song files much smaller, and some larger projects that certainly exceed 600K. I have project folders that exceed 1G regularly. I hit save or click the...

Re: file size

@rwhocutt I would speculate that the described problem likely has nothing to do with file size (what file though?) And probably is related to your system configuration and buffer size. What sound settings? What kind of drive are you reading/writing from/to? Etc. Are probably the areas to evaluate fi...

Before you got a chance to ask if they were using Mixcraft9 Pro build 460?

Re: Is it possible to listen to a mix on headphones and speakers at the same time?

The OP mentioned wireless headphones, which I assume means Bluetooth. I think this usually over-rides other audio devices in Windows. And some simple interfaces also over-ride other outputs when headphones are plugged in, while some others have features that allow both and have separate level contro...

Re: Tempo find algorithm

That's entirely possible. Like I said in my previous reply- I don't know how this works exactly. Greg or someone else will reply when they get to this. I will say, this morning I imported those files into two other DAW's and they do behave differently than Mixcraft. But I will add a few caveats: One...

Re: Tempo find algorithm

OK, to start with- Lets change the project tempo from 120 to 140. Then double click on each audio clip and change it from "use project tempo" to "time stretch" because the loops don't seem to actually be 140 BPM. Tempo.png Tempo2.png Then since several loops are 2 bars, lets double them so we have a...

Re: Lagging audio (brand new PC)

In addition to Rolling Estonians suggestions, try un-checking "use devices preferred settings" Forget Wave. WaveRT can work in some cases, but with a good interface and asio driver, theres little need for that. One problem lies in the situation where many manufacturers asio drivers default to an imp...

Re: Tempo find algorithm

Just if you have beat detection on, Mixcraft sets song BPM from first loop, and all following loops must be set to song time grid, but this works wrong in Mixcraft and all that must be done manually. This description differs from the previous. And I am still not sure I understand. I'll take a look ...
