Re: MIDI auto-quantize feature

I dont think that feature was in MX7. I am pretty sure it was added in MX8.
But that was a long time ago..... 8)

Re: MC8 Routing

It adjusts the amount of the original signal being routed to the send.
You could adjust the send amount via the mixer instead.
But your questions arent real clear to me, so I am not sure what you are asking exactly.

Re: MC8 Routing

You could do that using a send track:

Or you could use a compressor plug in with a wet/dry mix built in.

Re: Deleting unused wav files

Your welcome. Now get back to work! 8) Edit: the "save as" and rename step previously described is redundant and actually unnecessary for the desired result. But its habit. I create a lot of project versions when mixing so I have something to revert back to. Yet rarely do.... Self inflicted folder b...

Re: Master track isn't visible

"Crackling and static" is a little hard to evaluate based on a description isnt it? :? "Crackling" is probably most often "buffering" So the first thing to try in evaluating that is to adjust your buffers and see if the playback doesnt smooth out. Keep in mind that buffer settings for low latency re...

Re: Using mixcraft for voice over work

Hi Linda, and welcome. I am not sure that voice over production is that much different than music production really. Yes, there are minor different approaches. And to the second part, there is really no difference using different daw's, once you know the basic controls and where to find different se...

Re: Deleting unused wav files

.... I can't think of a single program that permanently saves intermediary edits to local files (without the option to delete them). It is as if every word I typed and deleted in Word, or every line of code I edited, was saved to a separate file, only audio files are much larger. Bloatware. I can. ...

Re: Master track isn't visible

I think calling it a "master track" misleads a lot of people. As Myran points out, it is simply the main bus, also sometimes called the "stereo bus" or "two bus" that all other tracks are summed to. As to how to use it, that would vary by user preference. I dont feel there is any one "correct" set o...

Re: Master track isn't visible

You cant put audio into the master track. Put the mixed down track into an audio track.

And consider updating to the current build. There are some bug fixes.

Re: Upgrading Mixcraft 8 to 9

Its an entirely separate install. And you can have both installed simultaneously.

During the installation, you should see the option or choice to install the 32 or 64 bit version. And this also can be dual install.

Re: Mixing acoustic guitar

Yes, no, yes, yes and no. I think. :D Any confusion is probably rooted in terminology. Gotta watch "mix" "render" etc. Anyway, based on my interpretation of your question, I am going to say no. You cant render or "bounce" the two tracks into one stereo track within the program. You would need to sol...

Re: Recording level...am I missing something?

Depends on the audio hardware/driver/settings you are using.

Generally for example, an asio driver relies on the gain control of your audio device, not the daw.
