Re: SAVING SETTINGS
Thanks to all, yes, it works well, and saves setting it all up each time. Cheers

SAVING SETTINGS
Hi all, is there a way to ''save'' a scene where I have a couple of virtual instruments set up to receive midi signals from an external source, being a keyboard? I find it frustrating to have to go through all the setup and midi channel details every time I log in to record. I would assume there wou...

Re: STEINBERG UR242 INTO MIXCRAFT
I think I have it sorted. Silly me wasn't saving the setups after I adjusted the gain etc, so every time I switched it off, it was reverting back to the ''hot'' settings that were giving me the problem. Many thanks to all.

Re: STEINBERG UR242 INTO MIXCRAFT
Thanks Jon, I will try the bus power. My son also has a 242, Mk2, and he feels the same way re the choking of the hutar sound. I will go into the software again and double check all is set the way it should be. Cheers

Re: STEINBERG UR242 INTO MIXCRAFT
Thanks Mark, yes, I run it out of the line outputs already. It doesn't appear to be a level clipping issue, more like there is too much happening to the signal within. One would think, if you were to turn off the three internal devices, it should just pass what goes into it, but it dulls the sound s...

STEINBERG UR242 INTO MIXCRAFT
Hi all, back again after having a huge interstate moving house. I have a couple of interfaces, namely a UR242, and a Behringer unit, of similar ins/outs etc. Using the Steinberg, I find it absolutely kills my electric guitar signal, as in tone, and drive, and overall sound quality. Even just monitor...

Re: Anyone willing to do a "pro" mixcraft session
Ok, that's sounds a lot better. The ''cello'', if that's what I am hearing, sounds very deep, maybe you need to add some other strings of a higher octave or something to balance things out a bit. That way, they will complement each other, and stop it from sounding ''muddy''. Overall, much better eff...

Re: Anyone willing to do a "pro" mixcraft session
Hi, had a listen, but there are some ''issues'' there that you may need to have a look at. The overall sound appears to be clipping into the red for most of the recording, making the stringed instrument sound distorted. Maybe that's what you were aiming for, I don't know. The drum beats are off the ...

Re: Probably a n00b question, but that is exactly what I am!
Hi again, maybe this could be a short term solution, but most interfaces have headphone output sockets, that will allow you to hear playback until you can get monitor speakers, without doing the old switch around.

Re: Probably a n00b question, but that is exactly what I am!
Hi there, not too sure what that device is that you mention, but it sounds like it could be an interface. If so, all you need to do is click on preferences in Mixcraft and select the unit as the record and playback device, that should then override the inbuilt sound card allowing you to do everythin...

Re: How to get my audio interface to work in mix craft?
I also have the same interface and was unable to get it going. Ended up putting it aside ''for a rainy day'' and buying the larger 4 input model which worked straight away. I will get back to the smaller unit when I can and advise.

Re: Mixcraft 9 missing
Thanks Greg, yes, I also tried it on a different desktop with 7, and service pack one, and it is fine. I have now put it on a win 10 laptop and it works well. That computer is a 64 bit, pack 2, so I will just use it on that one. Many thanks.

Re: Mixcraft 9 missing
Well, still have an issue. Installed the 32 bit ok, but when I try to open Mixcraft 9, it starts to initialize, but stops at TB Broadcast Multiband Compressor. The error shows that APPCRASH SND ENGINE .DLL is missing. Not too sure what to do from here.

Re: Mixcraft 9 missing
Solved Greg, I thought I had the 32 bit downloaded, but it was the 64, when I needed 32. Many thanks.

Mixcraft 9 missing
Hi all, downloaded 9, and even though it gave me the ''installation successful'' message, I am not getting the desktop shortcut, and cannot open the program from the list of installed programs in win 7. Double checked the process and tried it again, no go. I still have 8 installed, maybe an issue th...
