Re: Yet more plugin dysfunction
Update: The plugin is now working. I hadn't realized I had to go to the "unable to load" list, right-click the item and pick "attempt to load". Unfortunately, this doesn't work for melodyne.dll.

Yet more plugin dysfunction
MX refuses to load an instrument called "bassmaster" which I was using on the old machine. The plugin is from Loopmasters. I installed it on the new machine. As you see in the screenshot it says "unloadable". (I have also seen "unloadable" for melodyne.dll). The log fil...

Re: How do I log in to MX10?
Each time I start MX10 is says it's going to uninstall something else. I didn't buy anything other than MX10. I have to do some other jobs now so will continue this tomorrow. You won't get rid of me that easy. I also have to get that Melodyne Editor VST3 problem fixed.
Thanks for your help,
Joel.

Re: How do I log in to MX10?
But I thought you said I keep getting messages on startup that certain things will be uninstalled because I am not logged in. Why am I getting those messages and how can I fix it?

How do I log in to MX10?
The "login" item on on the "help" menu is grayed out. Greg said I have to log in to use MX10, which I did not know. He said I keep getting messages that things are going to be uninstalled because I am not logged in.

Re: More Melodyne troubles
I will do as you suggest, send my log file and open a support request. But "include a brief description of the problem" ??? I have spent a lot of time describing it to death and running tests and checking things, and sending you screen shots, etc... When I file the support request can't I ...

Re: More Melodyne troubles
Thought I'd try resetting to factory defaults (a Mixcraft menu item in the Windows "start" thing). Now when I start MX10 I get mysterious messages that things will be uninstalled. Picture of the 2nd such msg attached. I've been using MX for about 16 years, maybe back to v. 3 or 4? And I've...

Re: More Melodyne troubles
Yes, Melodyne is in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Celemony\Melodyne as shown in the attached screenshots, and that is apparently where MX sees it; see my earlier screeenshot of the plugin mgr and the one I've included again here.
Yes, it's build 579, as you see in the screenshot.

Re: More Melodyne troubles
I just installed MX7 and 9 on the new computer and they both show similar behavior: will recognize Melodyne VST2/32-bit, but not VST3/64-bit which the old computer had no problem with. Could this be a thing with my Windows setup? Man, this is frustrating and time-consuming.

Re: More Melodyne troubles
I have only used Melodyne the way I described: I use the VST3 of the "Editor" version of Melodyne I bought from Celemony. It is Melodyne Editor version 2.1.2 64-bit VST3 and I have downloaded it again from Celemony before trying to use it with MX10. Again, MX10 allows me to add this Melody...

Re: Melodyne VST text and controls very small
I will look into the DPI-awareness setting. Meanwhile, I've discovered that in plugin manager, if you right-click on an entry you get a small pop-up that allows you to check or un-check "auto-scale to match monitor scale". Checking that yielded an improvement.
