Re: Delete dead space at the end of a track?

After adjusting and cutting the track as you wrote, you simply have to right-click on that track and click on "mix to new clip". This way you kill and delete the hidden part of the track.

Re: Yet another mix down to mp3 question

When I mix down demos to email out as mp3, on "some" of my playback devices they sound overly compressed, on others they are not too bad. ... Generally, I don't use much compression, and none on mastering although on tracks with acoustic guitars there is some. And most of my tunes have alot of acous...

Re: Computer Suggestions

Most DAWs thread things and scale up across cores pretty well but it depends on what exactly you are doing. If you want to run a bunch of CPU heavy plugins serially then a faster core may be better, if you have a bunch of tracks where the load for each one is low-to-medium then more cores may be bet...

Re: Ideas on using Helix Native with MC 8

As long as I don't change presets I can make any changes in the preset I've selected. Same here. I also sent a support ticket (but to Acoustica). No feedback for now. I also use MC8, and Win10. Everything is ok till I try to change preset... Let's hope that the problem is solved by Line6, but since...

Re: Mixcraft crashes with Line6 Native (guitar plugin)

Thanks Greg for your step-by-step guide!
I opened a ticket (#307542) because it keeps on crashing after little time.

Mixcraft crashes with Line6 Native (guitar plugin)

I downloaded the trial version of the guitar multi-fx Line6 Native (VST3). And I installed the 64bit version of Mixcraft8.1Pro build406 for the first time (I was still using the 32bits version with no problems, but Native requires 64bit DAWs). I can open Native in the DAW and can use it, but then it...

Re: Mixcraft8: problem with (video) still image rotation

Hello Greg, again!
I already tried: you're right, after resizing the photos as a (much) smaller file, they behave properly with the correct rotation even after mixing down the video file.
Please add this information (maximum file size) in the help/manual of Mixcraft.
Thanks!!!

Re: Mixcraft8: problem with (video) still image rotation

Thanks Greg for your feedback! I see now that most of the photos I put in the Mixcraft video track are about 9Mb to 12Mb. Later tonight, I will resize them (smaller) and I will tell you if I get the same problem. Speaking of the still image size: does it make sense to use big photos or I am just was...

Mixcraft8: problem with (video) still image rotation - [SOLVED]

Hello. I'm trying (for the first time) to make a video with some music, but I found out a problem with the rotation of the still images. I have several jpg files that have a "portrait" format, so after adding them in the Mixcraft video track, I rotated them right-clicking on the images (because Mixc...

Re: How to zoom much more in a track?

Mixcraft has a feature called "Edit in External Editor." You can set go into General preferences and set your favorite wave editor (like Audacity or whatever) in the "External Wave Editor" setting. After that, you can just right-click on any audio file, choose Edit in External Editor and the wave e...

Re: How to zoom much more in a track?

The workaround exists but it's not doable with Mixcraft. If you use a wave editor, e.g., Audacity, you can align signals with EXACTING precision. -h Thanks! I know Audacity. I'd love to use Mixcraft (now MC8) because of its flexibility in using other fx (mostly eq, high and low pass filters). I und...

How to zoom much more in a track?

Hello I have an unorthodox question maybe. I use Mixcraft also to handle impulse response files (cab/mic simulations) and they are generally very small, some 40-100 ms. So even if I zoom into the track at maximum level I can't really see enough and I can't synchronize one track with another (I'd hav...

Re: Help with saving midi files with instruments info

Which virtual instrument are you using on the drum track? Which program are you using to play the MIDI file? It's entirely possible that one program will play drums for that track while another would play piano, especially if the program is Windows Media player. Greg In my drum track there is "Acus...

Re: Help with saving midi files with instruments info

I just would like to send the midi file to the other band mates to listen to it I would think that the best solution then would be to render the files to audio and share, thereby bypassing the entire conundrum. I've found that the reality is that the MIDI "standard" isn't as standardized as one mig...

Re: Help with saving midi files with instruments info

I just would like to send the midi file to the other band mates to listen to it, probably with other software. It's not important if the instruments are not exactly the same or virtual ones. Just standard midi instruments will be perfectly ok. I only need that the drum track is not a piano or someth...
