How can I play a reference track not through the master track?

User of Mixcraft 10 When I want to listen to a reference track, I just add a new audio track and I put my reference song there. But this reference track will go through the master track effects (mostly limiter and compression fx) so I have to turn them off to listen to that reference track, and then...

Re: Resizing plugins in Mixcraft 10 - Help!

Hi, If you want to get it working like Mixcraft 9, you can go into Display Preferences and select the option called "Disable Per-monitor DPI Awareness." Mixcraft 10 is "DPI aware," which means that can look great even on super high-resolution monitors. People had complained that...

Re: Resizing plugins in Mixcraft 10 - Help!

I made some experiments changing the display settings of my laptop (in Windows). If I change the %size (between 100% and 200%) everything gets worse and smaller, so it's a big no. On the contrary I get an improvement if I change the resolution from the standard suggested 3300x2200 to a smaller resol...

Re: Resizing plugins in Mixcraft 10 - Help!

Glad to help! I find that most of mine will re-size OK, but the problem ones need that tweak. I'm afraid I was too optimistic. Helix Native now works perfectly with that tweak, but unfortunately a few other plugins I use don't behave the same way. There's one that even "believes" it's big...

Re: Resizing plugins in Mixcraft 10 - Help!

Hi First thing I'd try; go to Prefs>Plugins>Plugin Manager. Then, in the main window, right-click on the plugin and select the second option - 'Auto-scale to match monitor scale' Hope this helps. :) Thank you very much!!! It works! Now I have the same size and font that I got with Mixcraft 9. It se...

Resizing plugins in Mixcraft 10 - Help!

I have just started using Mixcraft 10 (after several years using 7, 8 and 9) and it seems I have a problem with the size of several plugins. As you can see in the attached image, the plugin (in this case Helix Native, but many others have the same problem) is too small and it's really difficult for ...

Metering during recording

Maybe I'm making it out to be more difficult than it really is, but I miss a nice BIG display showing the input level during the recording. I mean something much bigger and clearer than the horizontal small metering that I see in the tracks. If I load a VST plugin I see that it works after recording...

Re: Delete dead space at the end of a track?

After adjusting and cutting the track as you wrote, you simply have to right-click on that track and click on "mix to new clip". This way you kill and delete the hidden part of the track.

Re: Yet another mix down to mp3 question

When I mix down demos to email out as mp3, on "some" of my playback devices they sound overly compressed, on others they are not too bad. ... Generally, I don't use much compression, and none on mastering although on tracks with acoustic guitars there is some. And most of my tunes have alo...

Re: Computer Suggestions

Most DAWs thread things and scale up across cores pretty well but it depends on what exactly you are doing. If you want to run a bunch of CPU heavy plugins serially then a faster core may be better, if you have a bunch of tracks where the load for each one is low-to-medium then more cores may be bet...

Re: Ideas on using Helix Native with MC 8

As long as I don't change presets I can make any changes in the preset I've selected. Same here. I also sent a support ticket (but to Acoustica). No feedback for now. I also use MC8, and Win10. Everything is ok till I try to change preset... Let's hope that the problem is solved by Line6, but since...

Thanks Greg for your step-by-step guide!
I opened a ticket (#307542) because it keeps on crashing after little time.

Mixcraft crashes with Line6 Native (guitar plugin)

I downloaded the trial version of the guitar multi-fx Line6 Native (VST3). And I installed the 64bit version of Mixcraft8.1Pro build406 for the first time (I was still using the 32bits version with no problems, but Native requires 64bit DAWs). I can open Native in the DAW and can use it, but then it...

Re: Mixcraft8: problem with (video) still image rotation

Hello Greg, again!
I already tried: you're right, after resizing the photos as a (much) smaller file, they behave properly with the correct rotation even after mixing down the video file.
Please add this information (maximum file size) in the help/manual of Mixcraft.
Thanks!!!
