Re: USB input question

Thank you. After looking at lot of places, I found one at MicroCenter. Hard to believe how many people want them and nobody carries it at a local store? Wow!

Re: Alright Craigslist - Tonework Tube Driver

Thank you Trevor, and yes I can surely take a half hour for that. Work with the tablet is going good, but taking some time to actually do some things using my Sony VAIO Ultrabook. Wow, these Ultras are really something. Using copy and paste I have actually put 106 tracks into a Mixcraft 6 program an...

Alright Craigslist - Tonework Tube Driver

Had one a few years ago but the kids and the daily bread forced it's departure. That was the one item of all of those laid down on the family alter that I missed the most. Even til this day. Goofing off this morning looking at Craig's list. There was a Toneworks B. K. Butler Tube Driver. The reply a...

Mixcraft 6 and an Asus ME400E Windows8 Tablet

Finally found an OTG connector after looking around a few days. I am amazed that they are so rare with the amount of tablets out there. Using Mixcraft 6 for now, as I am not sure I have enough memory space for a larger program or a lot more software synths or anything. Tablet has 64 GB with windows ...

Re: Dumbass question for the technically gifted!

Jon actually has some very good points. I used an 8 channel Firewire interface for a while, even buying a computer that had it built in and then adding a FW card to ensure compatability. It worked like a champ every time I used it. I believe it was a MOTU 896 Mk2. Not sure but all that matters is th...

Re: One of mine. Midnight Rodeo

Thank you. The slide is a Strat running a kind of midrange setting. That is the standard line, but to be honest with you, I am using the joystick and "jazz Strat" settings on a Korg Triton. It has fooled a lot of people, including one guitarist I have jammed with for over 40 years now. I d...

Re: Pro Studio 31 Band EQ

Have to agree! 31 bands is about every three notes on an 88 key piano, and with that much precision you could emphasize or deemphasize most anything.

Great work, Acoustica

One of mine. Midnight Rodeo

One of my own instrumentals. Just soft and easy to lean back to. Hope you like.

Though not planned, "Winifred's Castle" follows. Since I don't know how to stop it I guess it is just here!

Hope you like.

Very nicely done. I can hear that one playing in a good sized club with everyone bopping to it!

Re: Classic Rock Cover Tune (Rosanna by Toto)

Very nice track. Instruments and all very very good. Toto is hard to sing unless you are the one guy that did it but you pulled it off just fine.

Anyone using a Win 8 tabet yet?

I am going to be using Mixcraft 6 on my Asus ME400 as soon as I can get the adapters for my cabling. Have Mixcraft 6 loaded and it seems to work just fine.

Wintab or Ipad anyone?

Re: Audio Interface survey

I have four interfaces. 1. M Audio Fast Track USB. 2 tracks in, usually 1 mic and 1 instrument. Two tracks out in stereo. Very good for quick productions or for a notepad type device. Not bad for full mixes and songs though. This is actually a respectable interface, and even more so with the additio...

Re: Split the drums into tracks (Virtual Instruments)?

ThanksMab, I am going to get midi splitter now. One other option, is to get the demo version of one of the better drum kits. They will let you split the tracks and give you full mixer control for each instrument. I have and have used Beatcraft with nice results. In Beatcraft, each drum or cymbal is ...

Re: USB Mixers

The results do vary though. I have three interfaces. 1. M Audio Fast Track USB. 2 tracks in, usually 1 mic and 1 instrument. Two tracks out in stereo. 2. Presonus VLS44. 4 inputs can go on 4 seperate tracks and be mixed. Then out in stereo. 3 Tascam US1800 can input, if I remember correctly, 14 trac...
