Hmm, looks like I'll be checking that out in preferences too. Thanks.

Re: Color Scheme Gone!!! - Correct me if I'm wrong!!!!!

For what it's worth, I'd like to second Gonzo's suggestion on having just darker tracks. The white does get to me after an hour or two (yes my screen is set on econo mode which is the dullest resolution for my BenQ screen) Other than that I love Mixcraft6. Just my 2 CanEHdian peso's worth.
Later.

Re: HOW TO REDO A VOICE OVER IN A TRACK

Well Greg, if I were younger and just starting a family, I'd name my first child after you lol. I tried what you suggested and although I'm still a bit rusty at it, with a little practice I think it'll be perfect. Only one thing I noticed though, is that the track gets narrower (not as high as usual...

Re: HOW TO REDO A VOICE OVER IN A TRACK

You are the best Greg, thank you so much. I can't wait to give it a try. It's something that has been bugging me for a little while. I believe I may have asked this question a while back, but maybe lost the answer, then again, maybe I didn't ask it lol. (lets call it an old age moment) Anyway, thank...

HOW TO REDO A VOICE OVER IN A TRACK

I'm using Mixcraft 6, and I find myself redoing the whole vocal track when I make a mistake or find I'm a bit flat in a small segment of the song. The music tracks are simply mp3's, so all in all, I'm only using 2 tracks, one for my voice and one for the mp3 music tracks. Is there a way that I can c...

Re: MixCraft 5 / mastering problem with getting songs to CD

Greg is absolutely right. I had the exact same problem but thanks to Greg, I don't anymore. By highlighting the whole song, and all tracks, you then mix down to (in my case) mp3. Then before saving it all to your computer, click on the little box that says "use selection" then save. When y...

Re: How to stop the maker from advancing at the end of a son

DOH !! Feeling like Homer Simpson now lol. Yup, that works great. It's too bad I had recorded, edited, and saved a total of 3 songs before realizing my error.....now I have to start them all over from scratch again...oh well, learning the hard way is a good way not to forget and make the same error ...

Re: How to stop the maker from advancing at the end of a son

Hello, There are two ways to do what you want to do. 1. Select, in the timeline, the part of the song that you want to mix down. Then, in the Mix Down Save As dialog, make sure to click "Use Selection". This will mix down only your selection, without the tail. 2. Many professionals will m...

Re: How to stop the maker from advancing at the end of a son

I think I understand it, but as always its hard to help when you cant really "see" whats going on. Im just trying to throw out some suggestions/fuel for thought. The bottom line, I think, is that maybe it would help to ignore what its doing while you record, and once recorded, edit/fade t...

Re: How to stop the maker from advancing at the end of a son

I assume you are using some effects on your vocal track. One solution might be to use the automation controls to fade out or cut the effect at the end of the clip. Another might be to edit your tracks after recording by fading out the end (tail) of the tracks. Hope that helps! You assume correctly,...

How to stop the maker from advancing at the end of a song

Hi I've been recording using mp3 tracks, and adding my voice to a track. However, at the end of the voice and mp3 tracks, the marker continues to move forward for about 20 seconds, (sometimes more, sometimes less) I've tried cutting the tracks so that they are flush together at the end, still the ma...
