Re: Turning Off All FX at Once

I just tried different ways, like linking, selecting all tracks and it seems there is no provision to shut them off in entirety. You would have to turn off all track fx groupings individually.

Cool. I don't get what he's saying about "middle mouse button" at 15:16.

Re: Mixcraft 9 pro does NOT give the option to save automatically

I do, but only use it when recording and monitor through headphones. For mixing and playback I use WaveRT. But I suppose I could rearrange things.

Re: Mixcraft 9 pro does NOT give the option to save automatically

Hi, If the buffer setting is too high, you have a big lag before you hear the sound. If the setting is too low, you get audio skipping. A good setting varies from computer to computer, depending on hard drive speed, sound device, RAM, number of cores, other programs running in the background, Windo...

Hi,

Not that unusual. It depends upon your hardware and software configuration. For example, that would be more likely to happen with low audio buffer settings. Or if you have a million CPU-hungry plugins running.

Greg
Oh, OK. So, what's a reasonable buffer setting?

Oh, that's not resizing. (Semantics?) Got it. Just curious, why do you need that?

Re: Resize multiple CLIPS via mouse all at once?

Besides changing the track view (small, normal, large, extra large) you can shift-select or CTRL-select the tracks you want and then click-drag any line in between any track. They all resize.

Re: How to send a song to another person?

If you're thinking of sending him tracks that he can load in Garageband, you can export the stems. Just click "file" then "mix down to stems" and you can set your preferences of what you want included and then send them in the manner to which you are accustomed. Otherwise, a rough mix of all the tra...

Here's a clip of what happens. I don't have a screen capture device with audio. Just my cell for now. As you can see the CPU is fairly low, but still stuttering. https://www.dropbox.com/s/acyroifwcisbs ... e.mp4?dl=0
Soooo...should I not be surprised? Or is that weird?

Re: Mixcraft 9 pro does NOT give the option to save automatically

Hi, Do you get a hiccup saving during playback in Mixcraft? Saving while recording would be more problematic. Greg I do, but my CPU tends to run high. Anything above 50% and it's a picket fence, repeating, hiccup loop that can last anywhere from 5-8 seconds. Around 20-50% it's much shorter, but alw...

Re: Mixcraft 9 pro does NOT give the option to save automatically

The more I think about it, its probably better to save manually. If you get used to someone else's prompts, you come to rely on them. I am curious however, how other daws are able to autosave without much interruption. Even with Acid I can click save during playback and not so much as a hiccup.

Re: Mixcraft 9 pro does NOT give the option to save automatically

There is the asterisk. asterisk.png How can you forget to save with that asterisk staring at you? But of course, that only reminds you to save the first time. Hmm, I never knew that meant anything. Actually, you made the program so easy to use it's easy not to bother reading the directions.

Re: Deleting unused wav files

I just merge audio clips on a track, rename the newly formed merge track in the folder, add a lane, drag and place the new merged track in line with the existing audio clip now muted because I changed the name, delete the carcass of the old audio track and then delete it's former lane. Then I can ge...
