Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
CUSTOMIZABLE BEATS/BARS STARTING POINT. I do editing of other producer's music and they give notes on my edits at certain bar sections. Problem is, their starting points vary and I have to figure out where they land on Mixcraft's fixed timeline and then compensate by counting how many bars off it is...

Oh man! I never knew about the volume leveling feature. I was just grabbing sections and manually adjusting them. Thanks for pointing that out, T-man!

Re: Cross between Merge and Finalize
OK, great. Good to know. Thanks!Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Tue Dec 24, 2024 9:50 am Hi,
Oh, you're right. I guess there has to be a change to the clip for it to do anything. You could snip off some silence, move a loop marker on the sound tab or drag the end of the clip a bit on the track, and then it would create a new merge clip.

Re: Cross between Merge and Finalize
OK, just as I thought. The option to merge doesn't appear under the edit tab until I add a split to the clip and select all clips. CTRL+W doesn't yield any results either without the same conditions. I've made several attempts to warp, add points, quantize, etc to the same clip and still can't merge...

Hi,Acoustica Greg wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 11:05 am Hi,
Ctrl+W will merge and/or finalize clips, even if it's just one clip.
Greg
I tried that but nothing happened. However it was a clip I had just merged. Let me try that after some changes...

Cross between Merge and Finalize
Sometimes I will make an edit to a full audio clip in the sound tab, such as quantizing, and I want to merge the audio clip with the changes baked in. Normally I would split the clip at a point with no audio, select all clips and merge. But sometimes there's not a lot of room for that. I also don't ...

Re: Drag and drop into lanes
Hi, It would be a nice feature if groups of files could be dragged from the folder onto multiple lanes at once. A sort of workaround is this: Create the track with your lanes. Drag the multiple files into the track list (not your laned track) to create new tracks. Hold shift and click on the newly ...

Re: Drag and drop into lanes
Ah but wait! I have joined you in the "infantile" crib jwarv! Similar question here, and I never thought about it until your post... When I drop into a track with multiple lanes, the dragging clip seems to land in lane one, then I need to move it back out and put it in the lane where I wa...

Drag and drop into lanes
Hi, So, I generated 4 vocal tracks via AI from a website for choral purposes. I then created 4 lanes. When I dragged them from the folder into that track, one landed in the first lane, but the other 3 created and showed up in 3 separate audio tracks. Makes sense. I get it. But I'm wondering if you'd...

Re: Popping, skipping, freezing. (Not an MX issue)
One thing I've noted is, if too many tracks have Melodyne on them simultaneously, sparks begin to fly. Finalizing as many tracks as possible might mitigate some of that. I've recently had issues that I can easily trace to Melodyne. She gets fidgety and turns into a gremlin.

Re: Editing length of song
Cool, thanks! 🙂 No problem. Just FYI, this issue comes up a lot on this forum. Apparently there could be unheard residuals that Mixcraft is detecting and faithfully plays them till there ain't no more. Such as reverb tails or similar artifacts. The idea of an end marker has been proffered and duly ...

Re: Editing length of song
Hi, Drag and select the area you want to mix down up to your desired end point. When you go to mix down or render your song and the box opens up to choose name and folder, click the box at the bottom that says "use selection". Alternatively you can use an external audio editor like Audacit...
