No, the earlier versions stay as they were. That was going to be my next question, if it's possible to keep different versions like Mixcraft does or it's gonna update the existing ones.

Re: MixCraft 9 Pro & latest iZotopes
I mostly buck the trend, I have no problem with VST3 in Izotope, (and others actually). Yes Nectar 2 was resources hungry but Nectar 3 is much lighter as are Ozone9 and Neutron3 compared to the earlier versions which I had resource issues with. Not sure they are vst3 only though, can't check right n...

Re: Let’s go through the ‘Strat’osphere!
Have to disagree with Tom on the Tornadoes. Telstar, written by Joe Meek, a very somewhat off the wall agent, producer and recording engineer well before his time in recording techniques. It was was played by Norman Hale on keyboards, clavichord I believe. Lead guitarist Alan Caddy played a Hofnar V...

You could try this quick tip from Cameron at Venus Theory. I find it works quite well.

Re: Age and Ears
Thank you very much for your advice, just the sort of thing I needed to be told. Normally run things by a session musician pal in Australia, (much younger) but he's in hospital for 7 weeks on cancer treatment then I thought this is the place to ask. Yes they are synth drums so difficult when the hig...

Age and Ears
With age comes certain things that no longer work as they should, in my case EARS. Frequencies disappear which means you have to guess. This is where I ask for help. 50 years ago next month I wrote a song, with a colleague no longer with us. In this lockdown era I thought about recording it again wi...

Very good, better than my first efforts on Mixcraft 4 (not that I've improved much since).

Re: Windows Networking Rant
Well for me I have to disagree, I five PC on the network and had no issue in the past few years, even through the updates. Matters not if you are using Home or Pro as I have two using home although is much more configurable.

Re: Help With Recording
Hiya
Have you checked in Mixcraft preferences that "allow duplicate Recording Inputs" is selected.
It comes under Recording in preferences.

Re: A couple of questions
I have to say these days if the option is there, I run VST3 on everything without problems even Izotope behave correctly, so I believe developers are getting their act together and they are now "ready for primetime". One thing I have noted is the VST3 tends to load and be unloaded from RAM marginall...

Re: RealStrat 5 to Mixcraft 8 Pro
Hi
I have RealClassic, Realstrat & forget the other. Takes lots of thought, trial & practice to use fully, think I probably know half of what is possible.
Perhaps this one gives a bit more depth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doW0ZDBr6lY

Re: Sending each midi drum to it's own submix track.
HI, Welcome to the forum. The way I do that is to make several duplicate of the original drum track then open the first copy and delete all but say the kick. Name the tack kick. Move to the next copy and delete all but the snare, name the track snare. Follow the sequence on each of the copies, makin...

Re: Melodyne question from a beginner
Hi RX8 music rebalance will take out Percussion & bass & use of eq makes a good attempt but cannot completely isolate the piano & strings. A lot of intricate changes in Melodyne studio gets very near to an almost useable harmonica track but too long a process IMO. Happy holidays to all, keep your di...
