Re: Transpose MIDI one octive shortcut?
Not exacly a one click shortcut but the easy way i do it is this; In piano roll use the mouse to highlight a group of notes. Next, use the up/down arrow keys to move that group up or down one semitone at a time, if you read music you know to move 12 semitones for the octave. For a whole octave leap...

Transpose MIDI one octive shortcut?
Is there a keyboard shortcut for transposing the currently selected MIDI notes up or down an octave?

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
It would be AWESOME if you could automate the pitch shifting. There is the option to change the pitch by a couple half steps in the mixer window, but automation would allow for gradual pitch drops or rises. I believe this would be really useful and fun. ++ I'd also like to apply pitch shifting to m...

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
Oh and one last one that isn't related to the class - if I delete every track except for one, I'd like to be able to right-click *below* my current track in the empty grey space and get the same 'insert track' context menu that I get when I right-click on a track. I keep finding myself doing that a...

Re: Mixcraft 7 suggestions?
I've only skimmed the thread, so sorry if these are repeats. I'm currently taking a "Composing and Producing Electronic Music" class at Berklee College of Music online. I'm the only Mixcraft user in my class (any VST supportin DAW will meet the requirements), and I've been keeping a list o...

Can't figure out how to remap pads
Just bought an M-Audio Axiom 25 yesterday, and Mixcraft recognizes it just fine. I put in a Mixcraft Studio Drums track, and when I hit the pads, I'm getting various drums, which is great, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to remap the pads to different drums.

VST tutorials?
Have you guys thought about doing Youtube tutorials on how to use some of your more advanced synths? I have been playing around with the MinimogueVA for a bit now and feel like I understand most of the dials and settings, but there are still things I find confusing (keyboard control 1/3 2/3 ???), an...

Small feature request
When I'm in loop playback mode, working on a small section of my song in the middle (or end), do some playback, and then stop it and make a change, and want to hear it again, I hit the 'Rewind to Beginning' button. But instead of placing the cursor at the beginning of the looped section, it moves it...

Possible to start recording from midi input?
When I arm a track and hit Ctrl-R, it will start recording, and I can play something on my midi keyboard. Is there a way to change this so that as soon as there is any input from my midi keyboard the currently armed track will start recording? I always end up with some silent space before I can move...

Looking for peers (electonic music production)
Hello, I decided this year to start trying to make electronic music. After a bit of searching I settled on Mixcraft for my DAW. Recently I've been looking for more peers to collaborate with, trade tips with, and get critical feedback, so I thought I'd post here. I have primarily done trance style so...

Re: Automation recording in Mixcraft 6
Is it possible to record only synth settings changes?
For instance, I record some melody on my midi keyboard, and after it's recorded, is it possible for me to then play it back and record me fiddling with the dials on the synth, or can I only change it via the automation lane points?

Re: Problem with rendered files being off in timing
Are you sure it's set to the correct timing? IE 4/4? That was the first thing I check. Both my Mixcraft 6 song and my Beatcraft project are set to 4/4 140BPM. I created the pattern in Beatcraft, rendered the pattern as a WAV file, did not render audio tails or wrap them, used all the default settin...

Re: Will there ever be a successor or upgrade for Beatcraft?
At the very least you could upgrade Beatcraft so it renders to midi instead of audio. I have a dozen synth plugins with drum patches, etc. Beatcraft's genius was its pattern and snap track editors! Piano rolls are no way near as easy to work with. I still use Beatcraft as it instead of the acoustic...

Re: Problem with rendered files being off in timing
Just the standard samples from Beatcraft. I believe I was using a four on the floor kick with one of the 909 kick drums, and the closed high-hat from the Ambient kit. I can post the samples + screenshots if you want.Acoustica Eric wrote:Are you using external samples or the sounds that came with beatcraft?
