Polaris...rust in Peace Guitar Cover
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXdftlNdNyI I used the backing track of the original vocals, drums and bass and re-recorded all the guitar parts using guitar rig, a BOSS Me-70 as a pre amp and of course Mixcraft 6. The guitar tones were downloaded from www.guitarampmodelling.com and were two user-ma...

We're Not Gonna Take It - extra long version more solos :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpJMmxHjoIM I used the original bass, vocals and drums and redid all the guitar tracks with more of a wall of noise metal approach than the original...which was always a tad weak as far as the guitars went. This is the longer version that appeared on one of the Guitar ...

Blocked for copyright reasons :( Try the new link in the first post..it should be working now. Maybe you need to look at recreating the whole thing including the backing tracks .. you have the tools, now meet the learning curve lol I see your point....but programming the drum parts would be an abso...

Slayer's War Ensemble...quite possibly the best on the net
EDIT: This link works now :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUfv6fSPnfg I used the backing track from Guitar Hero Metallica and re-recorded all the guitars, including the two solos. I created a Slayer tone with guitar rig that sounds really close to Kerry King's tone and the solos were are friggin b...

The Number of the Beast w/original vocals, drum, bass
Using the backing track of this song ripped from Guitar Hero, I used Mixcraft 6 and Guitar Rig 5 to re-record all the guitar parts, including the solos. Because there are so many youtube clips of people doing guitar covers of this song, and because if you've seen one you've seen them all, I decided ...

Re: Metallica's Dyers Eve Guitar Cover with audible bass :)
Cheers for the kind words man. There's a site on the net that has rips of every guitar hero game ever released...minus the guitar tracks. I get a real kick out of redoing the guitar parts with the original bass and drums, it's as close as I'll ever get to playing in Metallica I guess :) Thanks for t...

Metallica's Dyers Eve Guitar Cover with audible bass :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKJKlgBqxzk Here's one of Metallica's more challenging tunes. I redid all the guitar parts including the solo, which was an absolute ballbreaker to play. All the tracks are ripped from the Guitar Hero Metallica game, with all the guitars re-recorded using a Boss ME70, ...

Re: Youth Gone Wild
All the guitars are Guitar Rig 5 using some user tones I downloaded from www.guitarampmodelling.com. The solos are a user made rig called 'always'...it's a Joe Satriani Always with me, always with you tone that works really well. I think I may have used it for the rhythm parts too. As far as guitar ...

Re: Take on Me by A-Ha..now with BALLBAG!
Cheers. For this one I didn't use guitar rig at all and used a BOSS ME70 on a clean channel with the EQ set to 12 o'clock mainly and the shred amp simulator...the HONKEN one I think from memory. I also used the Acoustica EQ to beef the tones up a bit. I mainly just use Guitar Rig 5 nowadays which ha...

Re: Take on Me by A-Ha..now with BALLBAG!
You make a good point and you're right about the guitars being too loud. The backing track I used is from the guitar hero game that contains the song and has the keyboards, drums and vocals all on one track and I don't know how to go about separating them, so I'm stuck with the original drum parts u...

Take on Me by A-Ha..now with BALLBAG!
I always liked this song but the original is as queer as hell. So I gave it the multiple guitar overdub treatment and metalled it up to give it some much needed nutsack.
Hope you enjoy it and feel free to comment

For Whom the Bell Tolls with original vocals, drums and bass
Another rip from guitar hero with the original drums, vocals and bass. I re-recorded all the guitars and went crazy with the number of tracks...there a re 12 at one point :) For the bass heads out there yes, I play Cliff's bass intro on guitar because it fills it up and sounds wicked. At one point d...

Youth Gone Wild by Skid Row with original voc, drums, bass
I used a rip of the song from one of the guitar hero games. The quality of the rip wasn't that great and despite EQ and compression it sounds a little lo fi. Anyway, I re-did all the guitar parts which was a lot of fun because they are so over the top. The solos are pure 80's hair metal excess and w...
