Re: Rough Idea for New Song
Thanks Freightgod. The truth is, I was mixing through my computer speakers before. Then Shure headphones. Neither worked very well. I recently bought a set of KRK studio monitors and am now going through the process of remixing the whole things again. Way better for gauging where things need to sit ...

Re: USB interface reccomendation for Mixcraft 6
I use a Presonus Audiobox USB. Works very well. Drivers work flawlessly with Mixcraft and I've had no hardware issues in the 2-1/2 years that I've owned it. Using the Asio drivers I get latencies as low as 1.33 milliseconds. Very sturdy little unit. If I were to replace it I would get the newer Pres...

Re: Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp Crashing
I already made sure that I have the latest drivers installed for the Audiobox. Thanks for the info about the log file location. I will try to get the plugin to crash again after work today and sent you guys the log file. Thanks for the help.

Re: Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp Crashing
Hi Greg; I'm using the most recent build of Mixcraft. Checked for updates this morning and it said I have the most recent version. I use a Presonus Audiobox USB that supports 24 bit /44100 and 24 bit/48000. I would have to check again to see if it's consistently crashing at one sample rate or the ot...

Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp Crashing
I was wondering if anyone else has encountered any problems with this plugin. It only seems to crash after I make an MP3 out of a project. It will finish making the MP3 and then I get a pop up box saying: Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp has crashed and will be muted until restart. Doesn't do it every ...

Re: Do I need special speakers to work with Mixcraft???
I've been considering buying the KRK Rokit RP5-G3 studio monitors. I read a lot of reviews and so far no one's had anything bad to say about them. Anyone else have any experience with these? I can also testify to the fact that the Shure SRH 440 studio headphones are not good for mixing. I got mine l...

Re: Rough Idea for New Song
OK, well...I think I'm losing perspective here. I've listened to this so many times, tweaking this & that, that I can't decide what I like about it anymore. I've gone back and stripped out all effects and mixer settings several times and rebuilt it. It's a lot more minimal now, effects wise. May...

That makes me pretty happy to hear that...thanks!AHornsby wrote:Rambler40 wrote:AHornsby wrote:The percussion was enlightening.
I'm curious what you mean by that.
It fit. Plus, parts of the percussion seemed more real than real. Plus, it's a free plug-in now which makes it awesome.

Re: Rough Idea for New Song
Thanks for the feedback Mark. I agree, the drums aren't very well balanced in the mix. Going to go back in tonight and work on that some more. If you want details on what I used then here you go: Drums - MT Power Drum Kit. Interesting kit that actually sounds somewhat authentic for the most part whe...

Re: Rough Idea for New Song
Thanks, the instrument at the beginning is called Syntar (free vst instrument). I added the dblue Glitch effect set to gate it in order to get the stuttering effect.

Re: Rough Idea for New Song
Yeah, I like the sound I achieved at that point too. I used a plugin synth called Texture with a preset called The Lonely. Kind of surreal.
