Re: Split the drums into tracks (Virtual Instruments)?

I use midi splitter. It's freeware. After creating midi track of full kit, copy track to new project. Save as midi file , open in midi splitter and it will create seperate track for each drum sound (note value). Save. I open that midi file in mixcraft, assign vst (you can use multiple kits), eq, pa...

Re: clicks in "mixdown to new audio" clip

If you've split the track and cut out the part with the click, and you're still hearing the click, then it's definitely not coming from your vocal track. (If there's no audio on the track, and you hear a click, it can't be coming from the track with no audio.) Here's some possibilities: 1) Solo the...

Re: clicks in "mixdown to new audio" clip

My hope is to render the wav out and be able to cut the click out. Lots of editing in this one! There's only one click and luckily it's right before he sings. Just curious if anyone had these issues and wanted to share for others sake. Much appreciated;-)

Re: Open Collaboration Project, or just for fun project.

Ok, you got me... After all, who doesn't love da blues! Give me a bit and I'll do a drum track. It is pretty good already, but I'll participate for collaboration sake.

Re: Mixing madness

My question would be how long have you been using your monitor's? Are you use to them? I think we all have these differences in different speaker reference. It's a matter of a good balance between the different speaker's/system's and being comfortable with your decision to call it a wrap.

clicks in "mixdown to new audio" clip

I have recently been editing a vocal part with melodyne. The original track had no pops or clicks, just crap vocal. After fixing said vocal line I rendered a new clip, or mixdown as a new audio track. Now I have noticed a click in one spot of the vocal take. There is no sign of any audio in this spo...

Re: "Phantom" Sounds loop after pressing "stop" button!?

LOL, yeah, the longer running described event does sound like a hung MIDI note. I get that sometimes, certain VSTi's and it seems far more likely when in loop mode. I have experienced this as well. I also experience midi drum hits without an actual hit from time to time. We jammed at Eric's party w...

Re: Empty House (registered working title)

sure,if you want to do drums have @ it. as far as the vocals,it's all just a rough layout for now and they were done @ like 7am over coffee just to get it all down. It may be a week or so before I get my drum's back, but I'll give it hell if you're not done by then. I'll keep in touch.

Re: recording with electronic drums

You're going to have that without an interface. Have you tried waveRT yet?
Prefrences<Sound Devices<Driver. It may have slight latency still but is much better than asio without a interface.

Re: Empty House (registered working title)

While I love both Alice in chains and CSN I feel your safe in going your own direction on this one. Not too many harmonies, they're spaced well and in relevant sections in my book. Although, I can't hear the mid harmony very well in the latter sections (with the soprano part). Guitar work sound's go...
