I did update and I have no stem separation.
I also put that file path into an explorer search and search came up empty.
I tried updating again through help button but it said I’m updated and to start making music.

make sure in your focusrite control panel sample rate matches Mixcrafts sample rate.

Your question if turning master down will stop clipping on tracks is no.
All tracks must not be clipping first.

One thing to consider though is that some instruments might not sound right when you switch from 44.1 to 48. When I hide them in mixer I would like to see the tracks hidden too.
Like you said even when you squeeze them they still take up a lot of space specially when you have send tracks too besides audio tracks.
