Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

Today at about 2 PM I going to have a few hours to spend with MC7 and EZD2. My goal for today is to (as quickly as possible) figure out how to get the drum sounds from ezd2 where I can use them in MC7. I want to select a few drum sounds from within ezd2, and use cymbal sounds from the Paiste website...

Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

Drumandstage - do keep us informed on your experiences! Well........there are none! I had a problem with my PC. HP sent me recovery disks to return my system to factory and while I waited on the disks, my window to return the unit expired. FIVE (5) "V" long chats, one ill times phone call, two rese...

Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

Mark, That is much appreciated. There were a few sounds of real interest to me in there. I took a little time this evening to play around with ezd2 and found some stock stuff I can live with until I have gotten some actual work accomplished. I actually think I may use some loops, too. I am building ...

Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

I'm going to buy ONE. Never heard that one...... Of what I have, "Rock!" probably has the closest sounds to what you describe. Even then, several are "ringy" and "Woody" compared to what you describe. "High dry" pretty much sounds to me like it would fit your interests, but its hard to...

I'm going to buy ONE. I have stop the spending somewhere. Hopefully, I'll get one I like. Looking for big, deep sounds with a quick decay and snappy attack.

Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

You will be very glad you did! When I first got EZD2, I was obsessed! It taught me more about drums and recording than most anything I've done. Probably the best software purchase I've made. M I only found about 5 different drumsets so far. Am I not looking in the right place? I haven't had time to...

Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

I was going to pipe in about EZdrummer2, truly amazing. There are tons of ways to create your own beats and your not going to get a better sound. If I ever had any intentions of learning drums it would be with a pad kit and this. M I did some research on this and purchased it moments ago. I'll chim...

Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

Mark, I don't have much time to reply at the moment. I will take a moment to tell you that I have had an epiphany! If I can borrow or rent a good module from someone (Roland TD-25, for instance) I can take a few days and build up a respectable library that I can live with. More response to your ques...

Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

As you are likely finding, searches for drum samples result in mostly EDM/Hip Hop styles, and mostly loops. Finding good old fashioned realistic acoustic drum sounds for basic rock and roll can be like weeding through the proverbial haystack at times. Been there, tried a bunch of methods and shortc...

Re: How do I import drum sounds (samples)?

First time posting, and I DID do a brief search for my question before posting. I am not happy with the limited drum sounds in the program and would like to know how to add more. Not only how to actually load them into the software, but a good source for such files in the first place, as well. Than...

Re: How do I import midi drum sounds (samples)?

I am COMPLETELY fed up with trying to find this stuff in searches. I don't have much time on my hands and by the time I spend a few hours trying to find what I need, I am tired and frustrated. I seem to mostly land on loops which I don't want. I'd like some individual drum samples. Snare drum, Kick ...

Re: Various issues and frustrations...

After checking the reviews on the processor I already have (stock) I am less antsy to buy a new one. It reviews really well, and I'll wait until the need arises to spend more money. I have installed a 3 port USB 2.0 card in the only available slot in the machine. That gives me a solid place (not in ...

Re: Various issues and frustrations...

There are some factory recommended processor upgrades that review very nicely. I am going to continue with the machine as it until the transmission begins to slip, then I will upgrade as needed. I am looking at under $200 for a fix for this machine which only cost me $349 to begin with. Worse case s...

Re: Various issues and frustrations...

So drumandstage, did you return your computer and trade up? -h No. I am having a hard time stomaching the nearly double price of a different machine. I am finding and correcting other culprits based on the insight I am getting here, and am hoping that the machine will be adequate as is for a while....
