Re: Sound Card Recomendations
Hi, Maybe you didn't copy and paste it correctly? Don't search for that path, just go there, or as Thomas suggests, the folder can also be found here: C:\Users\UserName\appdata\roaming\Acoustica\Mixcraft\ Where "UserName" is the name you use to log into Windows. Greg I'm confused, I'm already logge...

Re: Sound Card Recomendations
Hi, WaveRT is the core audio function of Windows, so it's not something you'd install separately. What you can download and update is the Windows audio drivers. Check the support/download page of the manufacturer for any updated audio drivers. Where the sound comes out is determined by the Playback...

Re: Sound Card Recomendations
Download this free program and let it update all drivers including video, could take a while depending on computer, make sure power saving is not active if a laptop. I think your computer is doing bad things to Mixcraft tbh. 8) https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php It's not doing bad things t...

Re: Sound Card Recomendations
I am guessing that Wave RT is corrupted but I cannot find it on my Win 7 machine. I look for downloads an I find a bunch of companies that use the name Wave RT for their products. I can't find Wave RT so that I can uninstall it and I can't find a download from any site and Microsoft just sucks. MORE...

Sound Card Recomendations
I have has a very frustrating intermittent problem with sound cutting out. At first I thought it was a computer problem but then I noticed that when I closed MC my other programs that have sound work. Diagnostics were saying everything was fine. Diagnostics misreported because the problem was interm...

Greg, Dan, or Eric
I have had Mixcraft since 2014 so I am no rookie. Up until then when it comes to reliability I would give it a B+. It did some stupid crap such as "Mixcraft Not Responding" some glitchy playback for no reason, and tracking delays, but after a restart things were usually OK. Often too many automation...

Re: Sound Cutting Out
Diagnostics say that sound card drivers are fine. I would put very little faith in Windows system diagnostics for this purpose. I have had (for example) it say everything is fine for a completely inoperative audio card/driver. At best that response means it shows being installed as intended IMO. Th...

Re: A Bluesy Rocker and A Classical Piece
Great job, but i recomend you to use some EQ and fucus more on the dynamics, NO ONE plays a long note in a string instrument without some dynamic (unless it have some proposite) Plus, you could use some free kontak's violin or cello vsts i use sometimes the Blankus cello (it is amazing for a free v...

Re: Sound Cutting Out
Does this happen in YT when Mixcraft isn't open in Windows? Or only when Mixcraft is also open? Seems to me the description would lead to a soundcard/driver issue. But more details might be needed to verify. Diagnostics say that sound card drivers are fine. When mixcraft is open and it cuts out, ot...

Re: I have some questions about mixcraft's MIDI
Hi and welcome. No need to apologize your doing fine. One thing unclear to me is the term "MIDI line" I assume you mean individual tracks or lanes. No you cannot overlay or view multiple MIDI tracks at the same time. It has been a fairly frequent request, hopefully it will be part of some future fe...

Sound Cutting Out
I think this is more of a Windows 7 problem but it happens more with Mixcraft that with Youtube. Running Mixcraft 6.1 Sound will play for a few seconds to a few minutes then in stops and won't work again until I close and restart Mixcraft. With Youtube is comes back after I stop and restart the vide...

Re: Major Technical Computer Question
What we all need is a new streamlined OS for audio dogs. It won't be as easy as just an OS though. It'll have to be the biggest and best of processors, ram, memory, cpu, monitors etc. We all know how much 'specialized' systems can run. The way things are, you can build a monster computer for about ...

Re: Major Technical Computer Question
Currently I have been running WAVE RT so that I can monitor incoming audio at low latency but the best resolution it offers is 16 bit but a guy who will be mastering and collaborating needs 48000 and 24 bit. When I go to wave I can record at 48000 and higher and at 24 and 32 but I can't monitor the...
