Acoustica Streaming Site With Special Privileges For Mixcraft Users
With music software reaching it's Zenith in the next 10 year companies are going to have to expand their lines. When I was at the Nashville NAMM in 2016 the only DAW related stuff I saw were some interfaces and computers optimized for recording. There were no DAW makers there. I was there to promote...

Re: Winter Can Kiss My Ass
Yep that's the song title. I hate winter so much I wrote a song about it. Mixcraft Pro 7 https://soundcloud.com/y-i-oughta/winte ... iss-my-ass This song should have been written a long time ago. Nicely crafted song that really expresses the popular rage. This should be a hit! I can see it be...

Elixir Polywebs
I just put a set Polywbs on my Yamaha acoustic and I love love love them. They feel great and sound great. There is very little squeak. They are supposed to last a very long time. Time will tell.
They have a coating on them that protects them from grease and grime.

Re: The End of Soundcloud?
The operating costs for a site as large as Soundcloud have to be staggering. I would have no idea where to begin with a guess. That being said, I believe Soundcloud has had difficulty monetizing their traffic. Since the platform used to be completely free (from what I can remember), converting exis...

Song About Playing In Bands
I played in a lot of bands. Most were cover bands. Some bands were a lot of fun but often there were some difficult members who drank and drugged. Some had insatiable egos. Some times there were band members wives who caused problems. https://soundcloud.com/user-316831637/selfish-people-mix-b This s...

Re: Jane Why Did You Treat Me Like That?
Guitar reminds me of early tracks by the Stranglers. I'm not sure about the track length, for the genre I usually think of 2 and a half minutes or less, but maybe you think of it differently. 8) When I used to listen to songs that I liked I always wanted them to last longer especially when the band...

Jane Why Did You Treat Me Like That?
https://soundcloud.com/user-316831637/jane-mix-b-wav Jane has a strong hook. I wrote it many moons ago. It was inspired by a broken heart. :( Drums are a mix of MIDI and Mixcraft loops. Guitar is a Strat style Yamaha with a humbucker in the bridge position. Amp is a simulator. Bass is a Fender Jazz...

Re: Vocal Recording Tricks
I'm a purist snob and that's why I won't use a harmonizer or auto tune. I think harmonizers sound fake and I like the nuances of another voice. Everything about recording audio is fake. You're kidding yourself if think otherwise. I would use a harmonizer on single note instruments live and ma...

Re: I finally released my album...
Congrats! I've been very prolific in producing music and I owe a lot of it to Mixcraft. Other DAWs had me very discouraged but Mixcraft with its analog feel and the great tutorials made things a lot easier. I found that I was not the only person intimidates by the difficulty of some of the other DAW...

Re: Easy question 4 u experts re reverb
How do I get a mono sound to reverberate in stereo? I was just trying this with Acoustica Reverb (even had "stereo width" up) and Classic Reverb and I'm not getting a stereo reverb effect. I know I've gotten mono sounds to have stereo effects before (I think I did it with the chorus and with the de...

Re: Future of the daw
Unfortunately I think in the future DAW’s will cater more to non musician type users rather than musicians who can actually play real instruments... leading to more computerized sounds. :( Yep. But it could be argued that the creators of today who have no idea what a note or a chord is maybe in som...

Mixing For Ear Buds and Speakers
Should we be mixing for ear buds with ear buds? This is a tough one because there are so many ear buds out there from cheap ones that sound awful the moderately priced one that sound good an high priced ones that sound like the moderately priced ones.
