Re: Can't Move Plugins or Virtual Keyboard

The blue outline is a style change; the unable to move thing I never encountered (also on Win 10). Reboot/reinstall maybe?

Re: Mixing headphones/studio headphones

I prefer open/semi-open headphones for mixing. The Philips 9500 ($75) and Miktek DH80 ($100) I hear good things about.

Re: mono vs stereo versions of a plugin

Try and match your signal input. Most vocals are coming in mono. Most non synthetic instruments are coming in mono. A synthesizer or eletric keyboard is probably coming in stereo. Most virtual synths are output in stereo. You'll have to match it according to you desired result and also taking into ...

Re: Stoopid Question # 38,476,187

You call that a stupid question? Amateur. :) Agreed that Lounge Lizard is your best bet/value, esp if you can get in on sale, which they have off and on...I think I got it for half off so about $99. Keyzone I thought was kind of OKish but for free it's worth a look. Might want to do a search on &quo...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

easily create music that is not in C Major or A Minor. Why not just create it in one of those and transpose? I suggest that in the plugin manager you can optionally add tags or keywords to each plugin. Then I could just search all my reverb plugins or by the keyword vocal or 80s etc. In this way yo...

Re: Fading in or out via MC?

Many thanks Greg. I figured it would be something I'd slap my forehead about. :) And of course after you replied I found it in the UG (by searching on "fade out" vs simply "fade" or "fader," which brought up hundreds of finds).

Fading in or out via MC?

There is probably an easy way to do this that I'm missing...I'd like to just select a section of a track and say "from beginning of this section to the end, fade out (or in) evenly." Can I do that without getting a plugin somehow? Not using Send tracks. I've been cruising the user manual b...

Re: Any Chance there's a 64 bit version of Nightlife?

We'll agree to disagree, but of course, everyone's experience is different. When the 32 vs 64 bit thing first came up, I was curious, so when I got plugins that had both, I compared. I never noticed any diff in quality or CPU or memory hit. I suppose if you had a lot of 32-bit plugins on a really co...

Re: Good free choir VI

I need to backtrack on this somewhat. I think it's well worth the download, but it's very "synth" sounding, not realistic. Of course if you don't care about realism, it still has a good ambient sound FWIW.

Actually there's a fair bit of stuff that will play on the free Kontakt Player, but sure, I'm not saying to disregard Decent Sampler at all, well worth a look.

I'm an AAS Player and their player packs fan. Swatches is a good one (although the one I have has "only" about 400 presets - time for a new download?).

Re: Any Chance there's a 64 bit version of Nightlife?

32 vs 64 bit plugins is one of the most overblown, over-worried about things ever. If it's good, it's good. Who cares if it's 32 or 64 bit?

I agree that Nightlife is a good one :)
