Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Add a PAUSE button to the transport bar. "Just toggle the play button" you might say...but I have it set up so that when I toggle the PLAY button, it auto-rewinds to the beginning, which I often use. Still, there are times when I want to just stop right wherever I am and not rewind all the way back....

Side note, actually MS Word and Open Office/Libre Office (probably some others) can open and even make PDFs.

tbh I'd prefer this thread die a merciful death, it's serving no purpose, legit or not.

Dummy cable question: balanced vs unbalanced

OK.......I was just talking about this online w/someone and realized I may not know as much as I thought....and the net isn't coughing up any answers. I've read up on this so I don't need a Cables 101 per se. I get the gist of why one is better vs the other, the "guts" of them, how balanced is large...

ASIO: why/why not

I've searched the net and get the gist...and the main pro seems to be reduced latency. But I've found little on why NOT to use. ? It doesn't seem to be esp popular from what I gather; why?

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Say I solo the bass to hear what it is doing. Now I want to hear it together with the kick drum. Going by your description I have to un-solo the bass, mute all of the tracks in the project, un-mute the bass, then un-mute the kick. ? No, all you'd have to do is unmute the kick. Again to me "solo" me...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

4. More freely movable/dockable/resizable elements : Especially the transport bar has always been a peeve of mine. It would be SO nice if we could resize and move elements such as the transport bar to be more compact and fit in with our preferred work flows. It would also totally rock if we could o...

I think there can be actually great value in being just slightly "out of tune."

I won't say absolutely no way ever on auto tune stuff, but that's my intent. I'd rather just sing it right.

Re: Interfaces: define "ins" and "outs"

Thx Greg, I guess what I mean is there apparently is no real or consistent way to define what is considered an "in" or an "out." e.g. I always thought "in" meant "input with a pre-amp." But (for ex.) some use ADAT to say they have many more I/Os, which I can see in one way but IMO is misleading.

All mics on all laptops are rubbish. So are the so-called speakers. Anything external would be a huge improvement. Glad you found one you liked.
