Re: 2 different issues

Yes, the sound card drivers are up to date. Increasing the buffer size made no difference but I've come across a setting in Preferences that I don't recall seeing before: Use Device's Preferred Settings, which was selected. I've no idea what it does but I've deselected it and so far all seems ok. Ma...

Re: 2 different issues

Problem 1: Sorted thanks to JonInc. Now have PDF-XChange Viewer and help files are working as they should. Problem 2: It's just done it again this morning. Everything else works except for the transport - I can access everything, edit, add/remove plugins etc. but no playback. I have to restart Mixcr...

2 different issues

1) Clean install with Windows 7 x64, Mixcraft 8 Pro x86, Nitro Pro installed and set as default to open .pdf files. When I try to open Help files from within Mixcraft I get a warning that I need to download a .pdf reader in order to open them but when I double-click on the .pdf itself from the Acous...

Re: 64-bit bundled plug-ins in Pro Studio 8

First of all it only concerns people with a 64-bit operating system. Basically 64-Bit Mixcraft has to work harder when it uses 32-Bit plugins, and there are a lot of those included. So if you're using them it would make sense to use the 32-Bit version of Mixcraft. Mind you, as has been often mention...

Re: Latency with simple setup

A shot in the dark:

Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Sound / Manage audio devices / Playback
Double click on Speakers / Advanced. Check that the settings match your Mixcraft settings.
Repeat with everything in the Recording tab.

Re: Graphics problem with Waves GTR Solo

Some of the track presets still use the Classic plugins - maybe they should be brought up to date without them. Also, as far as I remember (I'm not in front of Mixcraft right now) the Acoustica delay doesn't have tempo syncing so the Classic delay is the obvious choice - or is there another tempo de...

Re: Graphics problem with Waves GTR Solo

One more thing: maybe the old Kjaerhus Classic plugins (32-Bit only) could be replaced with the excellent Dead Duck Free Effects Bundle (32 & 64-Bit), especially after reading this about the Kjaerhus developer - although of course it's not the plugins' fault: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl...

Re: Graphics problem with Waves GTR Solo

Please do Erik. I also think it's worth suggesting that they could be installed into separate 32-Bit and 64-Bit folders in the future.

Re: Waves GTR3

I've used Waves GTR Solo for years - love it. Don't be fooled by the low price (29 dollars last time I looked) - it's not a limited version of GTR3 but more of a "best of", as was mentioned earlier. As far as I'm concerned it's worth it for the Super Reverb ("Drive") alone. I had use of the full GTR...

Re: Graphics problem with Waves GTR Solo

No space at all unfortunately - time for a new PC, although the 32-Bit Mixcraft is working fine apart from that one Waves plugin GUI. No other graphics/audio glitches at all and with only 2.9ms latency. The 64-Bit Mixcraft was another story - nothing but problems, as you said probably due to the gra...

Re: Graphics problem with Waves GTR Solo

I'm sure you're right - the graphics drivers are the problem. Unfortunately I'm stuck with onboard graphics that last had a driver update for Win7 back in 2012 (I'm now running Win10) and there's no physical space in my PC for a new graphics card. I've also tried updating the driver through device m...

Re: Graphics problem with Waves GTR Solo

Thanks a million - I was using an outdated version of GTR Solo so I've used my WUP and updated to the latest version. Both the Mixcraft & System CPU indicators still register over 50% when the GUI is open but at least now they drop right back to 5% when it's closed. I've also realized that the stand...

Re: Graphics problem with Waves GTR Solo

Hi JonInc, I don't have the full GTR 3 so I can't do any testing but just in case could you try with the full GTR Tool Rack plugin instead of the individual amp - it has a similar GUI to GTR Solo.

Thanks in advance...
