Re: Pecheneg Tremolo VST won't show up

I have these lines in my Mixcraft log: "02:59:36 [640 mils] : VST: C:\VSTPlugins\PechenegTremolo.dll 02:59:36 [640 mils] : VST found in registry. 02:59:36 [640 mils] : {49706566-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} 02:59:36 [640 mils] : Duplicate VST Effect: C:\VSTPlugins\PechenegTremolo.dll" That looks li...

Re: Sound tab timeline

Yeah, I am at a bit of a loss on this myself. Trying to manipulate the loop to attempt to reproduce. Even if I purposely mess up a loop's original tempo, at least the timeline/cursor still matches for me. Cant reproduce yet. Something is eluding me here......... Maybe not thinking clearly yet this ...

Re: Sound tab timeline

Well, I set the tempo manually so I don't think it's relying on any embedded metadata and even if it was I would still expect the main timeline and soundtab to agree even if the tempo is incorrect. Odd thing is, clicking on the main timeline will move the edit cursor to the correct positions in the ...

Re: Sound tab timeline

Hi Yes it only seems to be a problem with certain loops. The loop I used originally was from a commercial loop set. Here's another example using a loop from freesound.org Loop Test 4.png The loop is 'Drum Loop 1' by 'TomoNiwa'. Again the sound tab timeline and the main timeline don't match. Loop Tes...

Sound tab timeline

I dragged a 4-bar 140bpm loop onto a new audio track and opened it in the sound tab. Loop Test.png The sound tab timeline doesn't match the actual length of the loop. There's nothing special about the loop, there's no time stretching going on and the project tempo matches the loop. Clicking in the t...

Re: Loud buzzing on sidechain input

OK, The only difference between the screenshots and the original project is that I'm still using the virtual instruments rather than the mixdowns I provided in the test project. It really doesn't matter, the buzzing still occurs with the audio versions of the tracks. So here's the latest attempt at ...

Re: Loud buzzing on sidechain input

OK, I've done some more testing and I think there is definitely an issue here. My earlier test with the SD-COMP compressor failed because of it's built in limiter; switching that off allows the buzzing I reported earlier to be heard. (So it's not my SC LIstener plugin after all ;) ). Mixcraft Buzzin...

Re: Loud buzzing on sidechain input

OK, here's another demo. This is the same project with the SC Listener plugin replaced with VoS Density mkIII compressor. It's setup the same way to sidechain compress the pad track in response to the sidechained kicks. The important thing here is the track selected in the mixer during playback. Cli...

Re: Loud buzzing on sidechain input

As I explained in my initial post, SC Listener is a plugin I put together in FlowStone to investigate the problem, so there's only one version and no download link. It's included in the test project I linked. If your wondering if the source of the buzzing could be the plugin itself then I'm starting...

Loud buzzing on sidechain input

I was recently experimenting with sidechain compression in Mixcraft 8 when I noticed some odd behaviour in the compressor. It would sometimes indicate that gain reduction was being applied even when playback was halted. Further investigation suggested that this was being caused by unwanted input on ...

Re: Suggestion for Plug-In Management

Wow, this definitely isn't a minor bug... I wonder how it missed beta testing? Anyway, with a little fiddling I found that removing a plugin from a collection is hidden in the right click menu . I wouldn't say its hidden exactly, the right-click menu is exactly where it should be. Like you it took ...

Mils?

Congrats on the B380 update, some nice improvements, particularly the new submix solo handling. Very slick. However, I'm a bit puzzled by the latency readout on the task bar. Mils? Googling 'Mils' gives me 'thousands of an inch'. Or 'mother in laws'. Neither of which seem appropriate. Perhaps it wou...

Re: MC 8 Submix Solo Bug

Why should I want to hear a soloed track in the context of all the others? For example I might have a drums submix. With the current setup I can solo the kick and see how well it fits in the overall mix. With a 'real' solo setup I would have to mute all the other drum tracks to achieve this. With t...

Re: MC 8 Submix Solo Bug

I like the way this works at the moment (where solo mutes sibling tracks but not parents). It allows me to easily solo elements of a submix in the context of the entire song without having to manually solo tracks at the top level as I would if submixes soloed parent tracks. If I want a truly soloed ...

Re: Mixcraft 8 mixer display glitch

Hi

I normally run at 110% dpi scaling but I've just tried it at 100% and I still get this glitch, so I don't think it's that. Worth a try though, thanks for the suggestion.
