Re: Voice Synthesis

There's also this-

Realivox Ladies

https://realitone.com/realivox/

Really helpful if you happen to be male and need a female singer as opposed to actually working with some of them. They would probably say that about me too

This is new tech from Yamaha, It's been around but they have been perfecting it. Kinda scary actually. Who needs to sing?

Angel Of The Pond

So I was trying to figure out the workflow of Mixcraft when I made this. Almost entirely made from loops found in MIxcraft 8. Loops isn't generally something I work with and I feel I must credit much of this to the people responsible for Mixcraft and the loops. I recently made another classical song...

Re: USB Interface Recommendations

For those on a budget the Behringer interfaces get good reviews. This hasn't always been the case. Things have gotten much better since Behringer bought Midas awhile back. What this means is the pre amp tech from Midas is in a lot of Behringer gear. Midas preamps are highly rated. I mainly use a Pre...

Re: Mixcraft still the easiest learning curve!

A few things I really like. The tuner on each audio track is a killer idea. When you freeze a track it makes that noise and you have a frozen graphic. How could you ever top that one? I'll be honest, since I'm primarily an audio recordist instrumentalist I much prefer the real thing if possible.I us...

Re: Mixcraft still the easiest learning curve!

I think the implication here that Mixcraft is easy. Easier than brand ** might be a better description. It is plenty deep and to get to that depth you need to RTM. Maybe not as deep as some of the others. When I say this I am referring to functions mostly not used my the most common user. Deep midi e...

Re: Soundcloud?

Soundcloud was saved by an Indonesian ? Investors/Investors. They received a sizable cash infusion. They don't really make any money, they seem to be helping others make a little so they stay around. As a large traded internet venture they can do that kind of thing. I have both YouTube and SC...

Re: Cakewalk Sonar Goes Belly Up

Well Cakewalk by Bandlab is back in the game. If one can stomach downloading the Bandlab app which can BTW be disabled on future startup you can get the program for free. It really isn't a difficult thing to do. Quite a surprise move to many that an investor would buy it and then give it away. I sus...

Re: Why Do You Make Music?

Like anything artistic I think I get some kind of satisfaction from it. An inner feeling that I've done something I like to do. I might go so far as to say I get a kind of dopamine rush. The art doesn't need to be top notch from an outside perspective though I try to make it the best I can. In short,...

Re: Latency

This works if playing hardware into efx. Using direct monitoring through the interface eliminates most of the issues. Not so well playing vst instruments. If your latency is still high after you've done all you can with your computer/interface and drivers there are still work arounds. One work aroun...

Re: Searching For The Perfect Piano

One other thing that has helped me is using Gregg Wells piano plugin by Waves. I can't see what's happening under the hood but I suspect it pans the L/R and balances things a bit. It adds some special sauce to the mix.
