Re: Mixcraft 8 mix down "use selected" option gone?

The option is not available when rendering a project that has a video track in it though...? I think it will only export the whole project when saving as video.

Re: No video in preview screen (ACVHD format to AVI)

I converted the AVCHD video with Free AVCHD Converter* to MP4 format, and it works! Can't really say why it didn't work in the AVI format... anyways, thanks Greg! *I recommend this to everyone who needs to convert video from JVC/Panasonic/Sony's AVCHD camcorder format... I spent several hours trying...

Re: No video in preview screen (ACVHD format to AVI)

Hi Greg, yeppers, i'm running the 64-bit version.

It might have something to do with the conversion process, maybe the resulting AVI file is not "standard" or something... but again, in VLC it plays just fine. :(

Re: 10 posts

I'm new and try to do my best :) In the last few weeks, I can't count the times i've recommended Mixcraft to people. Just yesterday night, I was expecting a guy in the evening, just for him to pickup my Focusrite Scarlett, and it turned into a two-hour long home studio visit with a lot of Mixcraft f...

No video in preview screen (ACVHD format to AVI)

Hello! I tried adding an AVI on a video track in Mixcraft 8 Pro and all I see in the preview window is a black image... :( The video was converted from the AVCHD* format to AVI with MediaConvert (freeware). The process seems to have completed successfully, I am able to view the converted video corre...

Re: Cutting a huge project in two parts an saving seperately

Hi, I was thinking of resorting doing the way you described, but I think I figured it out by watching a Mixcraft University video : There is a "Timeline selection" checkbox in the "Mixdown to stems..." feature, so before going into the Mixdown to stems option, you can select what parts you wish to s...

Cutting a huge project in two parts an saving seperately

Hi guys, I recorded a live show on my Zoom L-12 recorder and each mic input has it own huge .WAV file on my hard drive. I loaded them up in Mixcraft and did some editing to cut the microphones that were not used in certain songs, etc. Now i'd like to save each track of boths sets of the live show, k...

Re: What does a direct in box do and how can it help static issues...

They are two different things. An audio interface is a device that usually plugs into a USB port of your computer which allows you to record inputs (microphones or instruments or whatever) and send outputs to external speakers. They require a driver that the manufacturer typically provides for you t...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

Hi! Here is a suggestion... it would be nice if the signal routing in Mixcraft would be visually editable in a small graphical window, similar to what is shown here... you just drag the inputs and outputs with your mouse and basically see the virtual "cabling" that is going on... (I understand this ...

Re: Things I didn't know about MC... until today!

That's cool, I didn't know that! I always left-clicked on the piano icon of a virtual instrument track, then moved the mouse down to the [EDIT] button and clicked that, each and every time :(

Good tip, friend!

Using Mixcraft performance panel to cue backing tracks live?

Yesterday, my girlfriend did a private show in a small local venue. There was a pianist that performed with her, but she mostly sang to backing tracks. The sound guy that was there had a large mixer with an Apple laptop plugged into it, from which he seemed to be triggering the backing tracks using ...

Re: Track mode in Melodyne? (bug/request)

Hi Greg! Just to make sure, i'm not talking about multi-track editing which is only available in the top-of-the-line Melodyne Studio edition; what I meant is the Track mode (versus the Clip mode). Here is an excerpt of Melodyne's manual : In ARA-compatible DAWs, Version 4.1 offers decisive improveme...

Track mode in Melodyne? (bug/request)

Hello! I would love to be able to use the "Track mode" in Melodyne. Only the "Clip mode" seems to be supported in Mixcraft 8.1 Pro Studio. according to Celemony support. That would make moving within a track more productive as I feel I am wasting some time moving from clip to clip, waiting for them ...
