Re: Mixcraft 6

Been following the development of Mixcraft for awhile now :) One question. (And forgive me if this has been asked, or is common knowledge, but I just couldn't find a definitive answer on the site or in the forums)... Will Mixcraft 6 be native 64-bit (meaning it can utilize more than 4GB of ram)? Th...

Please read the post linked in the thread again. The user clearly indicates he was contacted by Avangate after completing the Paypal purchase. The email he got says the Paypal purchase was put "on hold" and would be released only after he proved he was in fact who he said he was. Is this true - how ...

ID Confirmation after Paypal?! Seriously?

I'm a longtime member of another very popular audio forum, and was there this morning, about to recommend Pianissimo to a prospective buyer, when someone else complained about your buying process and pointed to this thread (First post on the page): http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30096...

"My four year old dual core could run 60 tracks at 24 bit" I'd have to see that one ;-) Well, I can't prove it now since I've upgraded that system to a quad-core (don't use Sonar anymore either). But here's a quote from a published article about a dual-core Opteron system (what I had) benchmark: "P...

That's called latency. Read the related notes in the FAQ section:

http://acoustica.com/kb/5/

If you can't find the solution there, post back with more info on your system specs (incl. soundcard) and we'll go from there.

A quad-core system (like the OP has) should be able to handle 20 tracks without breaking a sweat. My four year old dual core could run 60 tracks at 24 bit (on Sonar 6). As Eric suggests, you shouldn't be going lower than 44.1 khz sample rate. Also, having a second hard drive strictly for audio makes...

Re: Mixdown - sound distorting in finished file

... the song has been recorded so that the levels within each track very rarely peak.... If by peaking, you mean going into the red, or past 0db? If the latter, you need to bring the individual levels way down. And as you are seeing, just hitting red is going to cause you problems as the tracks acc...

Did you update to the latest build, as Greg suggested? (If you're a registered user, it's free).

Hi,

I have a couple of of Presonus products, so I hang out at their forums (among others). Your post triggered a memory...

Have you seen this thread:

It would appear that you're not alone, and that the problem is related to the Audiobox design.

MC 5 looks great, and is definitely moving in the right direction -- but is still lacking a major feature that IMO keeps it from competing with the big boys... Please, please, please, for version 6 add support for multi-out VSTs. Half of my virtual instruments have multi-outs (Kontakt4 being the mai...

Mixcraft 4 (and sadly, the upcoming v.5 as well) accepts only stereo outs from the VSTi, so you must load another instance of the plugin for every two outputs. Sort of defeats the whole purpose of "multi-timbral", and popular plugins like EZDrummer and Kontakt can't be utilized the way they were mea...

Mixcraft 5 - Multi-outs for VSTs?

I've searched and read pages of threads but haven't seen an answer to this, so forgive me if it's been addressed already.

Can we expect this functionality in Mixcraft 5? :)
