Re: Selecting a control surface on mixcraft 6

I would like to see this also. I use a ZOOM R16 which utilizes Mackie emulation. I have been able to set up the R16 transport functions but cannot set up the faders to control individual track volume. I think it would be a great idea if on the "control surface" drop down window there is an option to...

Re: Copyrighting

Or, you might want to checkout www.copyright.gov

Under "Publications" click on "circulars and brochures".

I think circular 56 is the one that applies to recorded songs.

Re: First time dweeb needs help please - importing VSTi

I have a similar situation regarding VST and VSTi plugins. About a year ago I purchased an audio pc and loaded REAPER 32 bit and 64 bit. Then, I bought EZDrummer. When downloading it I had an option of using the default location as directed by the EZDrummer download, or, I could assign my own locati...

Re: ZOOM R16

Hey Stratattack: Thanks for the response and the suggestions. In REAPER I just selected Mackie emulation and the transport and faders work. In MC6 I have been able to map the transport but cannot seem to figure out how to map the faders on the R16 to control track volume in MC. I'll look at your sug...

Re: ZOOM R16

I'm using build 191 of MC and I am current on the ZOOM R16 stuff. I've been trying to set it up as a control surface but I still cannot get the faders to control volume in MC. The R16 uses Mackie emulation.

Anyone got any ideas on how to set up the ZOOM R16 faders to control volume in MC?

Re: Native Instruments

Hey Guys,

I appreciate the response. I'm trying to justify whether or not to spend the $199.00 usd for Kontakt 5 or not. I don't mind spending the money IF it's something I will be able to learn and then use it.

Can someone give me an idea of how difficult it is to use Kontakt?

Native Instruments

I saw on the Native Instruments website they are having a 10th Anniversary sale.

Kontakt 5 is on sale for $199 usd.

Does anyone use Kontakt with Miscraft? If so, how well do they play together? How do the Kontakt sounds compare to the ones provided in Mixcraft?

Thanks,

Member Search

Hey Y'all,

I'm trying out Mixcraft 6 and will probably purchase next week. Meanwhile, I was looking at this forum and clicked where it says "Members".

Question: Is there a way to search for members by location? For example, I'm curious to see if there are any members in my general area.

Thanks

Re: ZOOM R16

Thanks for the response Greg. I am going to make sure I am current on both the ZOOM and MC software. I know that currently I'm using MC6 build 180. I'll try the mapping thing again this weekend and keep y'all posted. Maybe Mixcraft (Acoustica) can configure some of the more popular control surfaces ...

Re: ZOOM R16

Well, here's what I tried last night. I "installed" my ZOOM R16 and then went in to the "Control Surface" option. I was able to assign some functions, i.e. play, stop, record, fast forward a bit, fast forward to end, rewind a bit, rewind to beginning. I also assigned the master fader of my R16 and i...

Re: Toontrack Products

Clav I really haven't paid much attention to cpu usage. Each of my projects so far have been in REAPER and consist of drum track, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and vocals. So, my projects are not very demanding. Now that I am trying out MC6, however, I would like to incorporate some virtual inst...

Re: Toontrack Products

Hey Clavguy, You are correct about EZDrummer. I use it whenever I need drums in a project. You might also want to look at the video demo of EZMIX2. I just bought it because it makes mixing so much easier since it uses pre-set effects. Currently, I use REAPER. I like it, but it is so far over my head...

ZOOM R16

I have a ZOOM R16 and I am thinking about getting MC6.

Has anyone set up a ZOOM R16 to work as a control surface?
If so, how well does it do?
