Re: I am so proud of Mixcraft!

NO, you don't need someone else to sing it. In my opinion, your vocals are great...... You did yourself proud with this one. Keep 'em coming. Barry thanks Barry, and thanks for the analysis, thank you for taking the time to write that, very kind of you! No-one I guess has ever mentioned with my (gr...

Re: I am so proud of Mixcraft!

Solid song and production. Loved the vocal treatment and the bridge. Interesting structure and pretty arraignment. Keep posting. Putting yourself and your art out there is scary, but you have nothing to be embarrassed about with this effort. Thanks Mark, means a lot!!!! I kinda put it together in 1...

I am so proud of Mixcraft!

I am so proud of Mixcraft! What do I mean by that? Well, I've been a big user since v5. Sometimes posted here, but not much. But also really struggled with everything I had to learn, more so in terms of the techniques that underpin the technology, particularly in that "dark art" we call Mastering......

Re: 3 FREE Excellent Plugins...

Huge shout out too for "Limiter no. 6". TDR feedback compressor, Izotope Essentials, the Acoustica ones, and many others.... None of them compare really. But it needs a lot of taming. I particularly like the mid/side compression and limiting, and also the multiband options. This is HUGELY flexible! ...

Re: Mixcraft 7.5 Build 289 Released - please update!

You could try to download the right version by using the link in the email you get from: http://www.acoustica.com/cgi/upgrade.php?p=16 I've seen this helps others. Just done this myself now and you're absolutely correct, after trying a few things I thought of this too and it works! thanks! (strange...

Re: Mixcraft 7.5 Build 289 Released - please update!

If you're using Mixcraft 7 or Mixcraft Pro Studio 7, please go to the Help menu and select Check For Updates. You'll receive the new Mixcraft 7.5 Build 289 which we've just released. Hi Dan I have Mixcraft Pro 7.1, so thought this must apply to me! However, the Help/Check for updates says "An updat...

Feedback on Mixcraft 7 Pro

Been using Mixcraft for many years, recently upgraded to v7 Pro! I hope you folks don't mind me throwing in some opinion for debate, as I love this product quite a lot, and was thrilled to see an upgrade! Things I like and have quickly adopted: (1) Treblecream (been looking for harsh treble/transien...

Re: VST For Preserving Volume When Song Gets Dense?

Hi Grayve Rose I'm no expert, but I believe in mixing so that each sound has its own "space", both in terms of frequency and soundstage... So, I'll often pan my guitars eg. 80% left (and potentially 80% right too), and also consider any instruments that can be in a similar frequency to some of the b...

Mixing latency (as opposed to recording)

Hi kids I had a situation yesterday with a vocal track upon which I had the following VSTs: - Blockfish (compressor) - Focusrite midnight EQ (this is very lovely) - Spitfish (de-ess) - Floorfish (gate) - Acoustica pro reverb - Gsnap (mild setting, I'm not crazy) I couldn't figure out a scientific (I...

Re: Comping

Thanks for the keyboard tips! I do use most of those, I just read Sound on Sound magazine...and see all the folks in there bragging about their latest Sonar, Cubase, Logic, ProTools blah blah track splicing/splitting/twisting and spinning stuff! I realise Mixcraft is supposed to be straight forward ...
