Re: Two Mixcraft Applications on the one desktop.

Sorry Greg, I will try that. My original post got turned into a latency debate by the appears of it, got a bit lost with the issue.

Two Mixcraft Applications on the one desktop.

Hi all, is it at all possible to have two applications of Mixcraft on the same desktop? It would allow me to setup two different interfaces, and be easy to select which system to use. If need be, I could install it onto an external drive, if it cant be installed onto the same hard drive, as maybe th...

Re: Using two different interfaces

Eh? You're saying that having effects on other tracks (i.e., other than the one you are recording on) causes latency?
Probably computer lagging could kick in maybe?

Re: Using two different interfaces

Thanks Greg, as I just want to use either one or the other interface, is it possible to have two applications of Mixcraft8 Pro on the same desktop, then I could have one set to one interface, and the other set to the second device? I dont do a lot of recording at the moment, so no problem having rec...

Using two different interfaces

Hi all, would anyone know a better method of switching between two different interfaces, I am using win 7. I have a UR242 and a new Scarlett Solo, I like both of the units, for different reasons, and it would be good to be able to go between them without having to go into sounds etc and switch them ...

Re: Anyone using dual monitors with MixCraft8

Being using duals since Mixcraft 7, no issues. Great to be able to drag say, an effects display across and not to have congestion on the main screen. Wouldn't be without it. I just purchased a little adapter goes from the ''display out'' to a VGA socket for the second screen. It was only a few dolla...

Re: Steinberg UR242 as VST'S in Mixcraft.

Think I may have this solved, updated my desktop so I have to redo my product id license, then all should be ok.

Steinberg UR242 as VST'S in Mixcraft.

Hi all, being using this interface for a while now, does a decent job, but I would like to be able to use the effects as VST's within Mixcraft. This soft license system is so confusing, well, to me anyway. When I look at my VST list within Mixcraft, I see the Steinberg effects there as VST 3's, but ...

Re: BOSS DR880 MIDI ISSUES

Well, solved this finally. The drum machine had to be set on an empty song to follow the midi clock from an external device. Just wish they would write manuals properly, instead of assuming that we should know about things.

BOSS DR880 MIDI ISSUES

Hi all, this isn't exactly a Mixcraft issue, but I feel some of you could have came across it. When I am triggering the DR880 drum machine via Mixcraft, from my Yamaha PSREW400 keys, with midi, the Boss machine will start and stop all good, but it starts out of clock sync with the midi signal. It ju...

Using Mixcraft VST'S

Hi all, probably a very basic ask for many of you, but is it possible to use more than one VST at a time, as long as they are on different midi channels driven by an external keyboard controller? My Yamaha sends midi drums out on channel 10, and bass on 11. Would it be possible to use say, studio dr...

Re: How do I make my recordings sound good through speakers?

My fav method is to do a rough mixdown, then head out to the car stereo to see how it sounds there, also, find a set of decent quality ear buds and listen from your DAW, if they dont sound too muddy and can handle the highs without breaking up, it is a good start. Good monitor speakers are great to ...

Re: Newbie, not recording, record button stuck

Hi there, which DAW are you using, I assume it is Mixcraft, but which version. Could be a number of reasons, but some more info would make it easier for someone to guide you with it. The record should not be illuminated until you click on it, something not right with that. Do you have the most recen...

Re: Adding drums to a guitar track

Yep, you really need to put your drum track down first whilst playing along with guitar, then once you have the drums ''to tape'' so to speak, you can keep adding your guitar track until you are happy with it. No matter how good of a guitar player we all may be, without at least a click track or dru...
