Re: Hmmm . . .Bit-Bridging in Mixcraft 7 (x64)
. . we've gone to great lengths to ensure that just about any 32-bit plug-in will work seamlessly in 64-bit Mixcraft. Dan The Mixcraft bit-bridge works amazingly well with NI's B4II. I am really happy about that. I love VB3 (x64 now), but B4II has a remarkable vibe and authentic tone as well. If yo...

Updated Review of MemoryMoon's ME80 (v2.1 x64)
Hi gang, Many of you are probably already aware that Gunnar over at MemoryMoon has released ME80 from its synthedit imprisonment. ME80 is now available in 64-bit is now an even *BETTER* sounding emulation of the perennial Yamaha CS-80. Here's a link to my review of it: MemoryMoon ME80 2.1 Review – *...

Hmmm . . .Bit-Bridging in Mixcraft 7 (x64)
Hi Gang, I've continued to experiment in Pro Studio 7.1 (64-bit). Memory and CPU optimizations are clearly evidenced over previous versions of the DAW. It's obvious from many of my product reviews, and even my posts on this forum, that I'm an advocate of 64 bit ' purity '. Generally, I'm opposed to ...

Re: Exclusive Mode with USB Audio Output?
Thanks to both of you! Now, my question is: what is the advantage of having an audio interface that doesn't run on phantom USB power, as opposed to one you don't have to plug in? Is it that using the phantom power slows the computer's performance down? It may not slow down CPU processing, but it *d...

Exclusive Mode with USB Audio Output?
Oy! Dear, andeejoyce. It's never any fun having to buy new gear. Fun, maybe . . But never easy on the average guy's wallet. I agree with clavguy: a PreSonus USB 2 interface would do well. I recommend the 22VSL. I have a 44VSL - it's great. I also have a Focusrite 2i4. The Focusrite maybe even sounds...

Re: Can VSTs or midi be recorded to audio in real time in MC
Unfortunately, you can't record a VST/virtual instrument to audio in *real time* in Mixcraft. Studio One Pro provides this feature. The midi track bounce trick works well. I actually prefer it since I often need to fix things . . . * Grin . Hmmm . . . Waddaya think, gang - feature request for versio...

Re: Exclusive Mode with USB Audio Output?
Mixcraft 6 user with Windows 7 here. I have been having problems with the headphone jack on my laptop, and rather than spending $100 to get it fixed, I decided to use a USB headphone jack or my preamp for playing audio. It works fine when I'm not in exclusive mode, but if I want to put that latency...

Re: Want to Hear My Latest Mixdown?
I am sure that you are aware (but just in case). Even if you have chosen to install only 64bit Mixcraft you can still run 32 bit plugins. Great mix BTW! Cheers John Thanks, John. Yes, I certainly am aware of Mixcraft's capable built-in bit bridger. For that matter, it actually works quite well and ...

Re: Want to Hear My Latest Mixdown?
A little BB King there! Very nicely done! Do you find the 64 bit and 64 bit plugins more efficient? Any other benefits? :D Thanks a million, outteh. Absolutely! Across the board ( virtual mixing board, that is ) Mixcraft 7.1 is exploding onto the next level with 64-bit performance. As regards 7.1's...

Re: Thank God for Mixcraft 7.1 64-bit!
Absolutely! That's why I've finally started exploring ver. 7. I was quite ill for a number of months and my Dad passed in January. It's been challanging, but praise the Lord, I'm well and healed. I've quite a backlog, but I'm working away at it. ;) Glad to hear it, Brother Charles! Any chance you'll...

Thank God for Mixcraft 7.1 64-bit!
Yay! :D Great job, Dan & team. 8) Not only am I very pleased to no longer have 32-bit architecture constraints, but the overall performance of Mixcraft Pro Studio 7.1 b268 is very, very good. I'm getting much better DSP load results than I did with Mixcraft 6. I don't have to freeze as many tracks, ...

Want to Hear My Latest Mixdown?
Hi gang, I've had Mx Pro Studio 7 since a few months, but due to "life stuff", I haven't been able to experiment and explore with it. That is, up until a few days ago. I will never be installing 32-bit DAW and/or plug-ins going forward, therefore I was very happy to install and set up Mixcraft Pro 7...
