I've found that Windows 10 often updates the audio driver with a Windows generic driver and Stereo Mix does not work with it. Best off using the correct driver certainly Realtek works.

Trev I presume you have checked Stereo Mix is not hidden? (right click on empty space under recording).

Hi Perhaps playback is set to exclusive mode in Windows could be the reason. Right click on the speaker icon in the tray and select playback devices. Look in the playback device Properties, select Advanced and remove the tick in "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".

Just to chip my UR22 has 2 Mic inputs one of which can can be switched between low/high impedance which seems sensible to me, was always very common in the good old valve days.
