Yes it is, some effects have a dry/wet knob, so you can use that, most effects have some way of turning the effect on and off.

I've rejected some more well known DAWs just because I found them to be such a pain to deal with, these programs are reaper, studio one and ableton.

A search bar for automation parameters would help a lot. Some VSTi have hundreds of parameters.

I previously suggested the ability to edit MIDI notes while in the arrange window, this is something pro tools for example allows.

o be honest I don't find the EQ on the channel strip that useful, it would be much better for workflow to have effects listed instead of a simple 3 knob EQ, or maybe, we could have the ability to toggle between one and the other, so that the people who really like it can keep it, and people like me ...
