Audio Interface Or Mixer Or Both?
Hi everyone, sorry for yet another "Which audio interface?" thread but I'd like some advice on whether to get a bigger audio interface or a mixer or use a mixer with a small interface for recording multiple inputs? I am going to be getting a new PC soon and will be upgrading from Mixcraft ...

Re: How Do I record Multiple Audio Sources on Separate Track
That's funny, because I was going to get one of those before my Scarlett but I was advised by a salesperson at a local Dawsons store that on a Windows PC, USB is better than Firewire and so I got the Scarlett. I'm sure my PC has a firewire port (1394?) so maybe I should look into a Saffire?

Re: How Do I record Multiple Audio Sources on Separate Track
Yes I am. I will have the Volca Beats playing a drum pattern and on top of that I will swap between my guitar and synths to play parts on top (whilst also programming the drums to change the pattern up). I have my Zoom G3X hooked up to my mixer's effects and return outputs so I can connect my guitar...

Re: How Do I record Multiple Audio Sources on Separate Track
Thanks for the replies, I think a bigger audio interface is what I need. I mainly only record live audio rather than midi. I do have a midi keyboard controller which I have used to record midi tracks but I prefer to use the audio out of say my Microkorg or old Casio MT-65 keyboard and treat them as ...

How Do I record Multiple Audio Sources on Separate Tracks?
Hi, I have Mixcraft 6 Pro Studio and will be upgrading to version 7 in the new year but I was hoping someone could give me some general setup advice. At the moment I have an old Tascam M-06 mixer and it's outputs are connected to the two inputs of my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface (so I can ...

Re: Will Mixcraft 7 Have Noise Reduction/Removal?
I did try using 100% and right up to the start of the first sound but while it reduces on noise, it introduces lots of crackles. This crackles are the same unless I go down to about 15-20% noise reduction. No crackles but instead I get artefacts where you can hear a kind of weird, almost detuning/ma...

Re: Will Mixcraft 7 Have Noise Reduction/Removal?
Thanks gypsy. It's not so much a problem with hum that I have (I think I've posted previously about that and have seen those sites/devices you linked to), more a problem with hiss and the occasional crackle. I know for a fact the hissing is coming from my old Tascam M-06 mixer as I have been able to...

Re: Will Mixcraft 7 Have Noise Reduction/Removal?
lol That's why I was asking really as I knew RX4 was so expensive so I hoped that Acoustica might do a a stripped-down version for a lot less. I really like using the Izotope Mastering Essentials plugin included with Mixcraft so I thought there might be a slim chance of another Izotope product. I've...

Will Mixcraft 7 Have Noise Reduction/Removal?
Hi, I currently have Mixcraft 6 PS and I know it has a noise reduction effect but it's not great as it can create lots of artefacts (depending on what percentage you use) but I was wondering if Mixcraft 7 will use a better version of this or something that can do spectrum analysis? I've had a go of ...

Slower Playback Speed?
Hi, I have Mixcraft 6 Pro Studio and will be upgrading to 7 when it's released but I was wondering if there's a way to slow down the playback speed? I often find myself working with audio I've recorded into Mixcraft (say a synth) and I'm trying to match a drum part to it and get it to start at a spe...

Re: Exported Mixes Sound Completely Different?
Sorry, also on an un-related note. Is there a way to zoom in/out without the timeline going to the beginning or end of the song? I want to be able to zoom right-in to a sound I'm editing but be able to stay in that position focused on it without having to keep dragging the timeline backwards and for...

Re: Exported Mixes Sound Completely Different?
Great, thanks very much for that. It's helped me out a lot! I think because I'm taking things a little more seriously and really listening to what I'm making, I'm hearing the differences and hearing sounds (or lack of) that I never noticed before when just a casual music listener. It's like I've re-...

Ah brilliant, that seems to have worked! Does it matter that it's only 24 bit stereo and not 32 bit?

Exported Mixes Sound Completely Different?
Hi, I have been making some music in Mixcraft 6 Pro Studio and after many hours carefully mixing and getting the sound just right, I then finally mix it down to either am MP3 (320kbps) or WAV but the final file sounds completely different to the mix in Mixcraft, why is that? I have checked the audio...
