Re: SOS: how to restore to MC408? Today's update has bricked MC
I also just noticed that double clicking on a midi track no longer brings up the soundtab at the bottom, so can't get a piano roll view for example

SOS: how to restore to MC408? Today's update has bricked MC
Hi guys, I need to rollback to version 408* please, rather urgently. Today I accepted the suggestion for an update and, long story short, Mixcraft has basically bricked on me. I'm effectively locked out of projects. I failed to set a windows restore point. I'm not here to troubleshoot or complain, I...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
[quote="jumbodude"] Finally i use a vst called Scaler which again is basically a chord trigger and scale trigger/re-mapper like you find in Ableton. As I am no keyboard player as such Scaler allows you to play chords with one finger and play a matching scale on a re-mapped keyboard. Howeve...

Re: Does Mixcraft Have Audio To Midi conversion?
Celemony closed the Melodyne forum around the time Meldoyne 4 came out, if i recall correctly. There seems to be something basic amiss -- either on oversight on my part, or a bug. The settings are all as they should be. In a project which has always had a steady tempo of 70 bpm, I drop in a 70 bpm a...

Re: Does Mixcraft Have Audio To Midi conversion?
I found several plugins that do this online. Most are priced right up there with Melodyne which does a lot more. If it were me I would probably upgrade the included Melodyne. I did find this. https://www.widisoft.com/english/widi-a ... i-vst.html I know absolutely nothing about it. Appears to make ...

Re: Does Mixcraft Have Audio To Midi conversion?
Hi there, I've used Melodyne a lot for this purpose, i.e. not as a magic wand over a full track, but rather, for example, to convert an audio bassline to midi, and then use the midi to drive a better-sounding VSTi. I did this a lot in Sonar Platinum with Melodyne Editor 2, and then more recently Mel...

Kontakt standalone rewired to MC8? (or other workaround)
Hi all. The VST version of my (legal) copy of Kontakt is 5.5.1, which is the last version before all kinds of problems etc started to set in with Kontakt, including the requirement to use the quite buggy Native Access app. Long story short, I won't be upgrading that (and don't want to discuss that c...

Re: Recording MIDI output from Kontakt instrument
Yes, do not descend to abuse on this forum please, that's not what it's for. I think the point here is that this process is an unnecessarily complicated process for anyone who tries to concentrate on making music rather than endlessly trying to envisage how something gets routed from one thing to a...

Re: Recording MIDI output from Kontakt instrument
Mark Bliss, what does your last comment add to the discussion? Eddiescoob, I understand your frustration but your last paragraph was over the top. Anyway ... If you simply want to play / record Cthulu, Kontakt or another midi-generating VSTi through a second VSTi, recording the incoming midi only, y...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
I'm working more and more in the piano roll roll view and while I like it a lot in many respects, this screenshot shows the first "what were the developers thinking?" thing I've found in Mixcraft. https://snag.gy/4pvXfW.jpg Sorry if the details / hand-drawn red circles and arrows are hard ...

Re: Simple Mixcraft 7 Tips!
These and the Mixcraft 8 tips are just awesome. Great pointers, and very clear, bite-sized and browsable. Now that I have some of the basics down, these are easier to make sense of absorb. Great way to get to a more intermediate level fast. Thanks.

Re: Attracting Sonar users
That's all great. I'm suggesting, though, that in addition to giving price incentives, it should be stressed how very easy key Sonar tasks are in Mixcraft. Because now that the shock / awe from the Gibson bombshell is over, I 'd bet that perhaps the single biggest worry on refugees' minds will be, n...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
It would be really great to have, perhaps next to the "Activate" check box at the top of the pop-up window for each audio effect plugin, a 0% (dry) to 100% (wet) knob.

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!
Here is a easy one, make the comments section on the Project tab larger with larger font size. There is definitely room. I tend to write a lot of notes and comments in case I do not get back to the project for a while. A little help for us old people who do not see so good. This might help ... it's...
