When I click on Solo on a track, everything else should automatically mute, and if the track I selected was muted, should automatically unmute.
It would also be nice if I un-click it, that everything reverts back, but I can see why that might have drawbacks or be trickier to implement.

Re: Drum Pad - Advise on which sounds to map
Stuff like this is causing me to consider getting an "e drum" kit.
Re: clean-up
Sounds like something weird is going on with your PC, as mine doesn't do that. In fact, I just tried an experiment and created a folder, clicked ADD as you say, and it was there...then deleted it, went back in, and it was gone. Strange

A minor thing, but so easy to tweak: allow the user to change the default master volume.

Re: It's Music Radar poll time again
Hmm... I guest you have to sign up to vote ??? Yeah, it says "Take a look at the contenders and cast your vote in the poll below" but I see no poll. Sorry, last thing I need is another newsletter/my name in yet another distro list. I've been singing praise of MC elsewhere on the net thoug...

Bil, what model Akai do you have and what do/don't you like about it? I'm in the market :) Back to the topic: probably isn't much on the internet because as you say it's all personal taste. I figure I'll start with the setup you mentioned. As Mark said, I'd just try diff combos and see what works.

Re: 32bit vs 64bit VST/VSTi - Reorganization
I have a variety of 32-bit VSTs in my VST folder. Never noticed an issue with any 64-bit DAW. It can't be due to clean living, but I'm not complaining.

Re: Why no 88.2kHz and 176.4kHz Sample Rates available for Mix Down
Doesn't really pan out in the real world though does it? If you're not going to accept scientific theory as fact, exactly what are you going to accept as fact? How about things which actually have been proven as fact beyond any reasonable doubt? Seems reasonable to me. Basically you're painting a v...

Re: 32bit vs 64bit VST/VSTi - Reorganization
Fair enough. I guess I'm wondering why install both a 32 and 64 bit version of the same plugin though, unless you're using both a 32 and 64 bit version of MC (or any other DAW)? When I'm given that option, I always just install the 64 bit.

But being NEAR to a fact does not = fact. And being commonly accepted as fact (even if rightfully so) still doesn't equal fact. A technicality at times, maybe, but holds all the same. That's all I'm saying.

? I don't see anyone saying Focusrite on the whole is rubbish. You might want to read them again.botface wrote:It's funny reading this thread. A few years ago (before Gen 2) Focusrite was being enthusiastically recommended for any enquiry about interfaces. Now they're rubbish!
