If a friend can run Mixcraft ok does it not suggest the fault is within your project or computer.

After it crashes, and before you re-open Mixcraft, you should send your log file into support. They will be happy to try resolve whatever is causing the problem, much easier than just having a rant.

It sounds very much like a USB problem to me, assuming your interface is USB powered . Have you tried plugin to different usb ports ? or download the Windows usb troubleshooter - WinUSB.diagcab and see what that reports.
