Re: Not Another Free Plugin Thread

All good insights, Mark. Insights that, like everyone else, I must develop over time as I still have to rely on "green ears" for now. This subject at the present seems huge and intimidating to me. Mixcraft alone is enough IMO to keep someone busy for a long time. Throw in the world ...

Re: Lanes and MIDI

I just spent at least an hour making a reply with detailed pics and examples as to why lanes don't work for midi and when I clicked on "submit" the whole thing disappeared. That's why I use notepad. :) That's why I hit CTRL+A then CTRL+C before hitting submit. Yes, and yes. Good p...

Re: Not Another Free Plugin Thread

Thanks for those links chibear. You're not kidding about the not cheap part. :) Since all this (DAWs and VSTi s) are new to me I should probably steer clear of the high learning curve products for now as I'm still bogged down with learning the details of Mixcraft. But it's certainly good to know wha...

Re: Searching For The Perfect Piano

ok then, I think I was able to duplicate what you did. I was originally trying to make it all happen live while playing the keyboard. But it seems you played and recorded some notes through one of the pianos and copied the track (or is it clip?) to the other piano. Then season with effects as desire...

Not Another Free Plugin Thread

While many plugin threads have the goal of finding the best free plugins, I thought I'd try something different. Right now, I'm interested in finding the besting sounding virtual instrument plugins, such as orchestral instruments (bass, brass, string, percussion, etc.). I would like to try the the b...

Re: Searching For The Perfect Piano

Hi sjoens, It sounds like you're using 2 tracks. 1 track with Pianissimo and VSCO2 Piano with no effects. Then a 2nd track with VSCO2 Piano and the BREVERB2 preset. I tried to replicate your setup (with Mixcraft's reverb) by using the duplicate function to create a 2nd track. Is this correct? And wh...

How do you go about layering them? Also, When I opened up a reverb effect, it was connected to the pianissimo no matter how I arranged them, not the VSCO2.

You’re correct in that Win 10 isn’t specifically mentioned on the Lex site, just Windows 64 bit (general).
Understood :)
Hopefully your log file will be used to solve your issue and make Mixcraft that much better for us all.

Re: Slate Digital Plugins Crashing

This may or may not be relevant, and I don't know what OS you're on, but the Lexicon website doesn't show any product support past Windows 7 for the products you mentioned.

Re: Microphones

I can recommend the Audio-Technica AT2010, which has the same cartridge as the AT2020, but is geared also for live stage performance where you might want more separation and also less handling noise. There's a kit for this model also which is a great deal and I would have picked up the kit if it was...

Have you searched your emails? Most emails have a search function where you can input the search terms. I just tried it with Gmail and it came right up.

Re: Sound Card Recomendations

Glad you found it. When I first read "... MixcraftHS I was puzzled. A quick search turned up the answer I think. It looks like you have the Home Studio version. That HS at the end may be why your search box searches came up null. A manual search showed the way as you discovered. Hopefully you w...

So it sounds like MC is doing pretty much the same thing as jbridge. Just using MC for now, so I will not bother with jbridge. Thanks guys.

Is JBridge Better Than Mixcraft 8 Internal 32-Bit Plugin Handling?

As far as I can tell, all the MC included plugins are 32-Bit. Most of the free plugins available in the marketplace are also 32-Bit as far as I know. From reading these boards, MC 64-Bit can open a 32-Bit plugin, but uses some sort of "wrapper" to do so and there is a performance hit. I am...

Re: WAS: HELP! =( Mixcraft does not receive MIDI output from VST

I have a novice question that is related if I may. Regarding the subject matter of this thread, does this mean that Mixcraft cannot record the output of VSTi s in general or only the portion output by arpeggiators?
