Re: Cannot open Preferences
Scroll down further. They should be called "Reset Audio To Factory Defaults" and "Reset To Factory Defaults".
If they're not there, please let me know, they might have been left out of the version patcher.

Re: Cannot open Preferences
Rolling Estonian,
These links are part of the newest release of Mixcraft 7.5. If you don't have them, then you probably don't have the latest version of Mixcraft 7.5 installed. Just go to Help->Check For Updates to get the latest version.

Re: Cannot open Preferences
Juno, In your C:\Program Files\Acoustica Mixcraft 7 folder (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Acoustica Mixcraft 7 folder for 32-bit) you'll see a link called 'Reset Audio To Factory Defaults'. Double-clicking on this will launch Mixcraft will default audio settings. There's also a link to reset all the def...

Hi all, If you're using Mixcraft 7 or Mixcraft Pro Studio 7, please go to the Help menu and select Check For Updates. You'll receive the new Mixcraft 7.5 Build 289 which we've just released. Re: Bit Depth Queries
In exploring this issue further -- it is possible that your recording device supports different formats than your playback device. Here at Acoustica HQ we have a microphone that only supports 44.1kHz or 48kHz, mono, 16 bit recording. In WaveRT Exclusive Mode, we can set our playback device to 32-bit...

Re: Bit Depth Queries
The bit rate shown in the Audio tab is correct -- it will display the bit rate of the audio data in the file. If it says 16 bit, it's a 16-bit file. If it says 32-bit, it might be floating point or integer, but either way it's a 32-bit audio file. If your driver settings are set to 16-bit, you shoul...

Re: Bit Depth Queries
Hello AJ, I'll attempt to answer both of your questions: 1) Yes, that's correct. Mixcraft uses the audio settings for recording as well as playback. 2) If you set your audio input to 16 bit, 44100, stereo, and you record a file, your recording file will be 16 bit, 44100, stereo. Try it now. I just d...

Re: 80's hard rock/ballad snare drum
The trick for creating the big "Def Leppard" style drum sound requires a few fun steps. 1. Create the snare drum track as a MIDI track. 2. Right click and select Mix To New Audio Track. 3. Right-click on the new audio clip and select Reverse. 4. Add a big Reverb sound to the track. 5. Righ...

Re: How to attenuate a usb line level input?
Greg's right. Electric guitars are not preamplified, but line level outputs are, meaning the amp output is WAY, WAY louder than a guitar would be. You risk damaging your new cable running the Line Out into it. You can definitely try the Headphone Out, with the volume turned down, but that'll likely ...

Re: I need help with popping sound!
Do these "pops" occur at the start of the clips, where the clips are side by side? Do they happen every time you play?

Re: Mixcraft Trial Version
Howdy, To answer your questions: 1) The Mixcraft 7 trial is the full version of Mixcraft 7, with all features available during your trial period. After your trial expired, you won't be able to mix down your compositions. Mixcraft Pro Studio 7 adds a large number of plug-in effects and instruments to...
