Re: Lower volume when rendering

Hi Joss. I have found that some automatic Windows updates have altered the Windows Mixer sound settings in the past. It doesn't always happen and the results are sometimes random as to what gets altered but it is always in the inputs section of the sound control panel. Normally it has effected my St...

Re: Lower volume when rendering

Hi Joss. I don't know exactly what you are doing as it is difficult to know without being at your computer but I too am seeing a difference in levels between the first and second playback of around 5.2 decibels on my meter although I'm not hearing it as a large jump in levels or tonal variation. So...

Re: How do you bend the pitch of a note?

Hi Josh. Expand the MIDI editor and you can draw your curve into the dark grey area underneath once you have selected pitch bend from the list. You could also select a waveform depending on what you want to do. There are MIDI keyboards out there with pitch wheels and vibrato controls etc. https://dr...

Re: Lower volume when rendering

Hi Joss. I don't think I have this problem. I don't have an external LUFFS meter to verify but do use a PPM meter monitoring the Windows Volume mixer. Certainly I can't hear a difference between a rendered wav file or an OBS Studio video copy regardless of the bit depth and sample rates set. Each pl...

Re: How to get Mixcraft to start on the same monitor

Thanks Greg. I will try that and let you know how I get on. I am finding the program inspiring to use as I've never tried to use samples in the past. I have found the interface intuitive on the whole and only had to look at the manual to find out how to set up my MIDI keyboard controls to start / st...

How to get Mixcraft to start on the same monitor

Hi.

I have two monitors and one is powered by an internal Intel HD 630 and the other by an nvidia 1650 Super.
I want the program to appear on the Intel powered monitor but every now and then it swaps over to the nvidia monitor.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Ray.

Re: The Green Singularity & Sector 7

Was the James Bond sounding bassline shortly after the start deliberate? 😂👍
Nice sounding synths. Are they easy to work with?

Re: Okkar Battlefront(EVERSPACE)

I like to hear others' compositions to see how they tackle how many tracks instruments etc they use.
I liked your pads and bass. I liked the change of tempo and the addition of eight bit sound.
I thought it suited the video gameplay well.

Re: Boston/Foreplay-Long Time (Instrumental)

You shouldn't put yourself down that much. I am similar in that I'm too slow and can't play anything long enough to ever play live and have to rely in the abilities of a MIDI keyboard to correct my playing mistakes. But I can't read music so I have to listen really hard and try to make out keys and ...

Lost your MIDI controler functions?

I recently suffered a crash and lost all my MIDI controller parameters when I reloaded a project. Worse old projects or a newly opened one also had no response from my controller. I hated the thought of having to set up all the parameters again so in desperation I rebooted the computer. Not a shutdo...

Re: Boston/Foreplay-Long Time (Instrumental)

Thank you. I was lucky enough to hear some of Boston's tracks being mixed at the Roundhouse in London in the 70s and I have a few of their albums. Not that track though, hence my 'Camel' comment. I can also tell when I hear someone play whether they can read sheet music. I wish I had continued with ...
