Re: closing out upon opening
If it opens then closes, it will still create a log file even if a crash file isn't created (usually the Mixcraft-Crash.txt is just a renamed copy of the Mixcraft-Log.txt file anyway). So, if you have another instance of Mixcraft closing while still trying to open, don't reopen Mixcraft yet! Go to %...

Re: Protocol MCU HUI
Well, for one, the X32 and M32 consoles communicate with their iOS apps using OSC over TDP. Not that mixcraft desperately needs OSC network capability, but it's a remote possibility (see what I did there?).

Re: Protocol MCU HUI
A bit unrelated, but has Acoustica considered adding OSC support to Mixcraft? It's possible that some of these devices also work with OSC.

Re: Modulation does not work on Acoustica instruments
Thanks jlouvar, if modulation were so important to me, it might be cheaper to buy Reaper and buy other virtual instruments of higher quality. I will keep thinking. Reaper is free. To my knowledge the "trial" never ends. I believe this should give you the answer you need on deciding which ...

Re: Modulation does not work on Acoustica instruments
I've attached a quick comparison of the Acoustica Instrument Octave Strings Slow and the Impact Soundworks Rhapsody Orchestral Colors sample library, playing a single note and the mod wheel cutting on and off. That looks like this: 2019-12-26.png and it sounds like this: acoustica instruments vs Imp...

Re: Modulation does not work on Acoustica instruments
Hi, You edited your post and changed some of the sounds, didn't you? Didn't the top sound say something about Reaper? That was my confusion, I did't understand that these were all various third-party instruments being used in Mixcraft. Which one of those files are you hearing distortion in? Octave ...

Re: Question about Melodyne tempo maps
Importing and using tempo maps is not yet available in Mixcraft. Whether or not we'll see them in an update of 9.x is up in the air.

Re: Mixcraft 8.1 Pro Studio Surrond Sound 5.1 Plugin coming soon.
I can't help but notice that it looks like you're sending a stereo signal to each of the five (point one) speakers at once, rather than a DSP conversion that tries to approximate a surround signal from a stereo source.
Re: Big Chop
Have you tried selecting an area of the timeline, then using "Remove Selected Time"?

Re: How to get my audio interface to work in mix craft?
ASIO4ALL is a huge pain in the butt; I don't know why Behringer didn't bother coding a separate driver. I don't remember what all you need to do within ASIO4ALL but I do know there's a bit of fiddling required to get it up and running.

mix8 skin - stop-right-here-stupid
Was watching the install progress of build 441, and noticed something flash by that caught my eye: out of curiosity, what is stop-right-here-stupid.png used for? well I guess it's called stop-sign.png in the regular skin, but still. nice touch on adding a "retro" skin, by the way, I guess ...

Re: Lowering the BPM to less than 40 Bpm
I agree, to me it would certainly be "musically useful" to be able to lower the BPM past 40. This level seems very arbitrary. One beat per minute is much more sensible as it allows the user to determine whether or not going slower than 40 would be "musically useful" to them or n...

Re: Worth getting a second internal SSD
Thanks Anorax, So I’m thinking put in a second SSD and have First SSD. Windows HDD. Mixcraft and recordings Second SSD. Loops and vsts Does this sound like a good way to do it? While you can definitely do so, there's no real reason to move Mixcraft out of the Program Files folder on your C:\ drive,...

Re: Mixcraft work with Izotope Nectar 3?
Are you able to have Nectar 2 and Nectar 3 installed side-by-side? While unlikely, it's possible that Nectar 2 and Nectar 3 have the same VST ID which means that Mixcraft sees them as two copies of the same VST plugin. Try uninstalling Nectar 2 first, then see if Nectar 3 shows up. Also make sure yo...
