Crashing woes
I've raised a support ticket about this but I have this ridiculous situation where every time I hit record in Mixcraft, it crashes. When I say every time, I mean it. It happens without fail. Fire up Mixcraft, arm a track, hit record, nothing happens, crash. It's been workinf fine. The only thing I'v...

Mixcraft and EZDrummer 3
I'm trying to sync Toontrack EZDrummer 3 to my Mixcraft. In EZD3 I drag a groove down into the window and make sure 'follow host' is selected. Then I add an instrument clip on a track in Mixcraft and hit play. The groove does play but it's like a quarter of the tempo. I'm told on another forum that ...

Re: Compare waveforms
Thanks. To be honest, I've never needed it before. But I watched a video over the weekend where someone was doing it on ProTools and it's a great way of identifying phase issues with double tracked instruments. Not just guitars but snare drums and even vocals I guess. It would be a good feature to h...

Compare waveforms
Hi all,
I'm sure there's a simple solution to this but is there any way I can compare two waveforms side by side visually In Mixcraft?
I have two guitar tracks panned hard left and right. I want to check for phase issues by eyeballing the two waverforms together. Can this be done?
Thanks
Dave

Re: Oh no. I'm getting pops and crackles
Well after countless hours messing about with just about everything in my PC, I think I've sorted this. If this helps just one person then my work is done :-) If anyone is having weird sound problems with popping and dropping out and you've tried just about everything else, then try this (copied ver...

Re: Oh no. I'm getting pops and crackles
Yep done all that stuff Greg. Using ASIO. Generally fluctuating between 256 and 512 buffer size. Random pops on both but not all the time. Tried switching USB ports; the cable is pretty short. Quite a random thing. I'm sure I've noticed pops even when playing YouTube videos. Trouble is, I'm paranoid...

Oh no. I'm getting pops and crackles
Hello all, hope you're in fine fettle. I'm at my wits end here. After many years of using Mixcraft I'm starting to have real problems with pops and crackles. I've recently bought a Motu M2 after the driver on my Tascam US-4x4 became very unstable. I just need a basic 2 in 2 out interface and the Mot...
Graphics
Hi folks I wonder, with a new update imminent, if anything has been done to improve the graphics in Mixcraft? As I get older, my eyes are suffering and I find that using Windows 10 scaling is the only way I can see what I need to see on my 27" monitor. Trouble is, Mixcraft, on anything other th...

Too many crashes
Hello all, hope you are in fine fettle. Due to a ton of other things taking my time, I really haven't used Mixcraft as much as I'd like to, but while I love the software in many ways - it's intuitive, comes bundled with tons of excellent stuff and has a great user community, I have to say, the overw...

Re: Mixcraft + EZ Drummer + loopmidi
Yep. I use an Alesis Q49 for whacking out my drum tracks with EZD. Just prefer recording stuff in real-time!

Re: Still having tuning problems
Thanks for your help Eric. Your comments enabled me to home in on where the problem was. Until you mentioned my sound device I hadn’t even thought of that as being the culprit. You’ve saved me a lot of grief!

Re: Still having tuning problems
The device does support 48kHz.
I’m using the latest driver Eric. It is Windows 10 compatible. I’m using ASIO drivers.
I just prefer to use 48kHz. Difficult to give you a meaningful reason why, but in light of this problem it’s probably sensible to go back to 44.1

Re: Still having tuning problems
It's really interesting you mentioned my sound device settings Eric. I have a Tascam US-4x4 audio interface and like to use a 48kHz sample rate. The only way to change the sample rate is via Windows sound settings - not the Tascam settings screen or Mixcraft. What seems to randomly happen is that so...

Still having tuning problems
Hi all, I posted a couple of weeks ago about tuning problems with MIDI plugins in Mixcraft. Unfortunately, bizarrely, they still persist. Basically, anything I play on my Alesis Q49 keyboard via Mixcraft is about a semitone flat. I've tested this by playing Pianissimo as a standalone instrument (ie....
