Re: Mixcraft remote control
HOWEVER if you dont want to go down that route you could get a bluetooth number pad such as https://www.megamac.com/products/newertech-wireless-aluminium-numeric-keypad-eu?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=17998323845&gclid=CMC0nIfaoM0CFQ4TGwodIx8CKw and then use MIDI learn to ...

Re: Mixcraft remote control
Hi, I also don´t have a mobile phone so to use the mixcraft remote app, but that is the functionality I need. helmut Helmut that sounds like exactly what you need. £25 or even less will get you a second hand mobile on ebay - you don't have to put a sim card in, just use it for the Mixcraft remote i...

Re: Studio Drum sounds and VST sounds.
And a heads up...if you want Cymbal Sounds, go to Paiste's site. They have samples of every cymbal they make. There are good sounds in there and they are Free, easy to down load, and easy to use in MC7! That sounds like a great resource - thanks for the info. I have had a look on the Paiste UK webs...

Re: Is it possible to 'normalize' midi keyboard input?
I just did a quick Google search and found a configuration program that lets you change a whole load of things for your XKey.
http://www.cme-pro.com/xkey-downloads/
I don't have an XKey myself so cant check. But the screen shots do show the ability to change the Key sensitivity.
Cheers

If you click on "Manage Plug-ins" in the file menu do all the plug-ins have check marks next to them?

Re: Can't Import my Loop Library ..WHY?
The guy in the video had a new, non-Mixcraft library created already. I think Mixcraft kind of protects its own folders somehow. Manfred you are right I already had a folder called Groove Criminals - I included some of the other instructions as a direct result of your first post - thank you. Cheers...

Re: kontakt 5 player
I just downloaded Ample Sound's bass VST which sounds very good. I was already using their free acoustic guitar VST, I think they just released the freeware bass VST very recently. Bass demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0tm-LYEzxI Guitar demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kugVy24IIc Thanks...

Re: kontakt 5 player
Also for bass I quite like 4front bass which is free.
It is limited in itself having no settings but if you run it through one of the Bass amps that come with Mixcraft you can get some very good sounds from it.

Re: kontakt 5 player
According to the Native Instruments web site Rickenbacker Bass works in Kontact Player http://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/guitar/scarbee-rickenbacker-bass/ I quite like the DVS Saxaphone (free) - you can find the link just under 1/2 way down the page. http://www.dreamvortex.co.uk...

Re: Can't Import my Loop Library ..WHY?
I agree with Manfred - but to add you can put your loops into folders with names of your choosing.
Here is a short video of the process.

Re: How does a MIDI file know what sound to play?
That brings to mind yet another question - is this list of Presets editable by the user? Or since they are "Acoustica Instruments", I suppose we wouldn't want to touch those. But perhaps we can add our own somehow? I have presets going from 0:0 all the way up to 128:48, perhaps 300 or 400...

Re: How does a MIDI file know what sound to play?
When the file has loaded in to mixcraft and if the instrument isnt named do the following (This happens if the writer of the MIDI file hasn't embedded the name of the instrument): Click on the piano icon as if you were going to change the instrument In the Instrument track box that comes up click on...

Re: SFZ VST FILES
Hi Geoff
there is a free .vst that will allow you different sounds on different channels within the same instance of the player. It is called TX16Wx. Be aware it is a little more tricky / confusing to work with but you might want to have a look.

Re: SFZ VST FILES
Hi Geoff the player can only have one instrument loaded at a time. SO if you want more than on instrument you will need to load multiple instances of the player - EG one for piano, another for Harp etc. The fact that I am using a 64 bit version should be irrelevant. The icon on the files in the vide...

Re: SFZ VST FILES
I caught this just before hitting the hay (coming up for midnight here!). When you say about dragging and dropping the vst I assume that you are talking about a previous discussion we had about adding new vsts into Mixcraft? I ask because when I mention drag and drop in this thread I am talking abou...
