Mixcraft Pro 8.1.413 Loses Connection to Vienna Ensemble Pro 6.1

Hi. This is a bug that I can't seem to get logged into an official mix-log.txt file so I'm reporting it here. In all fairness, Samplitude Pro X3 will also lose VEP 6.1 connections. However Magix support is all but non-existent so I just enjoy Samplitude's other excellent, pro-grade features and regr...

Re: Opinion on a computer

Yes, but a 7th gen i3 is going to smoke the pants off your old system. Plus it offers hyper threading, yes? Unless you're running heavy duty VIs and high track counts, loaded up with over sampled plug-ins, a *new i3 will serve you quite well. Considering, of course, that you need to keep a $400-ish ...

Re: Loading / registering DB-33 plugin

One of THE BEST virtual Hammonds is AcousticSampleS B5-V2, hands down. By the way, it includes four types --not just B3. Feel free to check out my review of it (and video presentation) http://reviewrevival.weebly.com/reviews ... done-right Another one that is quite good, and also features four Hammo...

Re: Ik Multimedia T-Racks 5

Hi, Another IK Multimedia product, Modo Bass, also has a similar problem with Mixcraft 8. We've got bugs filed on these problems, and the software developers will be looking into them. Greg Yay! Looking forward to it being fixed. :) Me thinks it's not so much an IKM issue else the abborrant behavio...

Mixcraft is the ONLY DAW having this problem with IKM's MODO Bass & T-Racks 5.

VB3 (full version) smokes that poor old thing in MxCraft.

Re: Get the CA-2A Leveling Amplifier FREE!

I don't have access to a UAD system, but of all the native VSTs I have that emulate the LA-2A, this one is quickly becoming my favourite. Waves CLA-2A seems kind midrange-y to my ears. IKM White is a little bit agressive for my tastes. They're both good, but I really do reach for the Cakewalk versio...

Re: Thank you, Acoustica Team

Something that I am really liking about the new version 8 of Mixcraft, is that in a fashion similar to Samplitude Pro X, you can insert effects on a track *without* having to click the "FX" button. This makes for a much more streamlined and logical workflow. Overall, my first impressions a...

Thank you, Acoustica Team

I received a very pleasant surprise today. I thank the Acoustica team and I thank God. I'm looking forward to checking out Pro Studio 8. As time permits, I guarantee a published review on the Reviewer's Revival web site. In the meantime, I've recently published a few other reviews - feel free to vis...

Re: Save/Update VST Presets

Hi Greg. Perhaps you misunderstand. The new AIO driver from PreSonus disables the VSL functionality. Sure, the actual AIO audio drivers work, but the VSL live monitoring and ability to print audio with VSL effects is removed from the latest software/driver installation. PreSonus are ignoring their p...

Re: Save/Update VST Presets

Hi Greg, No thanks. I won't upgrade the PreSonus driver for my interface. None of my other DAWs suffer this issue. Obviously, a key feature is the "virtual studio live" facet of the PreSonus VSL interfaces. Why would anyone want to nullify that with the new AIO driver!? I'm running Win7 so...

Re: Save/Update VST Presets

Hi Greg, long time no see/hear. :) I was very unwell for a couple of years . . .bout of sick pooper followed up less than a year later with blood pressure/heart trouble. I'm getting back on my feet, thank God. Anywho, I find that VST3 support in Mixcraft is not as robust as its VST 2.x capabilities....
