Re: Build 285 just might be the release build.

Nice update Acoustica Team. I haven't had the chance to really get into it 100%, but what I've seen so far is terrific. I am really liking the ability to drag several wave files in at once. Any chance we can do this with midi files? Thanks!!

Re: Mixcraft 7 vs Protools

Yup. 0's and 1's. DAWS themselves do not sound any better or worse. On a level playing field, room, mics, pres, interface, console, bit depth, sample rate, pan laws, engineer, musicians, etc... they all sound the same. The game changer is when you start to add plugins and effects. This and all the a...

Re: Windows 10?

No prob. As long as the drivers for your hardware and software are supported the upgrade should be a positive experience. Win 10 itself feels very stable here and it's snappier than Win 7. Windows 10 looks to be very promising for audio production. Especially that WASAPI drivers which are Microsoft ...

Re: Windows 10?

I've installed Win 10 on 2 machines. Happy to report that both Sonar and MixCraft are running beautifully. Install went without a hitch. I updated my drivers without any trouble at all. My Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 is using the latest beta driver's and my FA66 is using Windows 8.1 drivers. Win 10 is ...

Re: MC7-Win 10?

In my experience its ALWAYS a bad idea to upgrade an OS upon first release. I always wait a while and see what issues arise for others first. And ultimately, the big question is going to be driver compatibility. IE: Will those established W7 drivers work in 10? If not, will developers get W10 drive...

Re: Alesis io2 express

I would definitely consider one of the Focusrite Scarlett interfaces. Big bang for the bux, mic pres are stellar and stability is rock solid. Depending on your computer you can get as low as 2ms latency with these units.

Re: Question to people who make money with their songs

My advice is 1) Do not approach the music biz thinking you're going to sell a million+ copies of your work. 2) Don't ever think you're going to become successful enough to get rich off your music cause in this day and age it is damn near impossible. However, you can definitely earn extra cash on the...

Agreed. All of the VOS (Bootsy) plugins are excellent. I've been a Bootsy fan for years.

Re: Question to people who make money with their songs

You can license your music to Film, TV, Commercials, Video Games, Corporate, etc... and earn some cash on the side. So how would I go about that though? I have never done any research at all into it, can you give me an idea of how it works? Well for Audiosparx you first have to audition for them by...

Re: Question to people who make money with their songs

I also want to mention for anyone that is thinking about licensing music for film, TV, etc... it is extremely important to become affiliated with a P.R.O. (Performance Rights Organization). BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, etc... The licensing company pays artists whatever the percentage is for the initial sale a...

You can license your music to Film, TV, Commercials, Video Games, Corporate, etc... and earn some cash on the side. I was hoping you would pop in and share some of your experience. I think this is an interesting angle personally, and there's may different niche/styles from cinematic to jingles. I m...
