Torton thanks for the detail. Good luck with win 10. I am considering reverting back to 7. I still have no issues with gtr rig 5 in win 7 and Mixcraft 8 pro.
I’ve gotten the impression that NI support is poor regarding gtr rig. But I’ll givw the a chance this weekend.

Re: Guitar Rig 5 Odd behavior in MX8/WIN 10
Not a solution, but anyone looking at this thread for help. I reviewed the presets in the sound folder, Native Instruments\Guitar Rig 5\Sounds. Found a lot of multiple versions of presets. Example: 12string.ngrr 12string1.ngrr 12string2.ngrr Deleted all duplicates in file explorer. Restarted Guitar ...

Re: I need you - Looking for feedback
Thanks and good to have your feedback Mark. Again I agree. Maybe the feedback in this tread will help. Kinda a hired (free) gun on this project, and ultimately will have to accommodate the writer/vocalist. I’m really happy with the rest of the tracks ( arranged and performed by me and a friend). But...

Re: I need you - Looking for feedback
Thanks for the feedback. I agree on vocal. But the vocalist wants it dry and “radio ready” . It’s his song, so he is the final decision. I’m still working on changing his mind. To meet his concept I had to put all other sub mixes in their own sub mix so I could apply some verb and stereo enhancing, ...

I need you - Looking for feedback - UPDATED
Friend of mine wanted to record a song he was working on. Recorded rhythm guitar and scratch vocal. Then gave me free rein to add, arrange and produce. I think I'm almost ready to let go, but wanted some other unbiased opinions. Any glaring issues? Balanced mix? Too bright? Thanks in advance for the...

Re: How to get more music for your DAW with Midi
Does drag and drop into MC 8 also remove any markers? I use this method to pull in some drum patterns. I will pull in the file and delete all but the drum(s) track and cut out what I want.

Re: Guitar Rig 5 Odd behavior in MX8/WIN 10
I'm still investigating as well. Gonna run thru the "optimizing" suggestions. I haven't encountered any other issue, even a few that gave me issues on the laptop seem to be behaving (ferox tape, pultronic tube). Project load seems possibly slower, or my patience is smaller. I should be kee...

Re: Guitar Rig 5 Odd behavior in MX8/WIN 10
I've tried several combinations including 64/64, this last effort has been mx pro 8 32 with gtr 5 64. Both at latest builds. I am still tweaking this desktop, and moved away from laptop ( fan was killing me). 8 and gtr play well together on laptop using Win 8. Win 10 seems like the most likely suspe...

Re: Having trouble with Guitar amp simulator
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22197 might help with GTR 5 The setup in GTR is different between the stand alone and the VST. You should check the setting in the VST to make sure you interface is setup correctly in it as well. If your having issues with multiple sims, that seems to point to an operator err...

Guitar Rig 5 Odd behavior in MX8/WIN 10
Was on the verge of giving up on MX8. I have been struggling with using GTR 5 and the frustration level was pushing me back to MX7. • Initially after installing 8 when GTR 5 was added to to a track, the behavior was dramatically different. • When choosing a preset (which can take up to a full minute...
