I don't know whether this has anything to do with it but there were a few teething issue threads about the plugins when we started using version 10. Perhaps this might help...?

Your VST3s should ideally only be installed in C:/Program Files/Common Files/VST3.

Nowadays most installers don't even provide the option to choose the install location (for the VST3 anyway). Have you tried there?

My issues are usually with EastWest libraries. Have never had problems with Spitfire Audio and have tried to avoid buying their libraries that run in Kontakt, though not always possible.

Are you saying you don't use the Windows VST3 folder?

It works perfectly. Some microwave beeps running in the background just before the "deep in the heart of Texas" line and a whistling kettle crescendo at the end. I could hear them in my head as the song was playing.

Your system should be able to take a beating from that spec. What about the drive sizes/configuration? How are your libraries setup?

What settings do you have in your Presonus interface? Are you also closing each instance of BBC SO when you are happy with the track? Do you also use a lot of FX VSTs? Sometimes they can be real buggers in messing up a project.

I had to laugh at this, but well done! But come on, why stop at the washing machine? I had the spin cycles, microwave dings and whistling kettles going off in my head to this tune. You'll have to do a version II.

In my current project some of the tracks drop considerably in volume during playback from the levels in which they were recorded. Also, on some tracks, when using the mod wheel to affect the volume, it worked once or twice on playback but is now playing at the same volume. Anybody had any similar is...

Thanks Greg! I have used that trick, it works very well. I wish I could get Spitfire to route out that way! So far things are working out, I have recorded about 16 tracks with Spitfire on each track and it is running at about 10% (at peaks) of processor. Prolly will mix it down to a stem or separat...
