There's no 'easy way' to describe how Melodyne works and what all the lines mean, sadly. Best, take a little time and have a look at the videos I shared in my earlier post. Once you get the hang of it, there's nothing better.

The A major is the key of the 'original' clip. This of course can be changed (as I suspect you may have) by using the 'Use project key' - just above that. You mention pitch correction software - Mixcraft comes with Melodyne 5; the best in my humble opinion.

Ctrl A will select all clips in the project, the open the sound tab and select 'use project tempo.

Then inserting tempo change markers will work too.
