Thanks, that's what I thought. My next adventure is to figure out how to use Garritan Personal Orchestra with Mixcraft.
Have a great weekend!

Re: A Few Very Simple/Dumb Questions
Another big thank you, Greg, for your valued help.
As you probably know my question 2. above relates to a standard rock and roll chord progression, 1,5,4,1. I guess I'm asking if an audio loop, say for the bass, would adjust to those chords as it does for the song key?

A Few Very Simple/Dumb Questions
I just uprgraded to Mixcraft 6 and I confess to being pretty ignorant about this type of software. I have used a couple of other simpler DAW's without anywhere near the power and features of Mixcraft 6. So here's a few questions: 1. I purchased Beatcraft some time prior to the release of Mixcraft 6....

Re: Does Trim Silence work on an MP3 sound File?
I just tried again and mixing down the selection worked fine. I think that I like this is better than trimming anyway since it's easy to do the beginning and end at the same time. We use karaoke backing tracks sometimes and they always have long lead ins to allow for reading of the song parts and ke...

Re: Does Trim Silence work on an MP3 sound File?
I thought I had done what you show in the graphic above, but I'll try again. I did come up with another way though. I selected the part I wanted to mix down and then moved the entire selection the beginning of the track. Then, the silenced part was gone. so, I guess the file is okay. I had thought t...

Re: Does Trim Silence work on an MP3 sound File?
Hi Greg. No, that didn't work. Logically I thought that it would. The silence was still there. I tried it in a project and the same thing. Even in the simplest pgm's that I've tried, you can select a section and do a cut, copy, paste, or delete, but those didn't work on my mp3. I know very little ab...

Does Trim Silence work on an MP3 sound File?
I have Mixcraft 5. I have an mp3 file that has a very long silent lead in. I want to delete (trim) most of it off. I added it as a sound file, clicked trim silence in the drop down menu, and mixed down to an mp3 file. However the silence is still there, but possibly not as much? I have the Snap set ...

Re: Human Beat Box questions.
Is there some way to tell if human beat box is in the sample library? For example, is there a particular item, such as name, file, etc., that would tell me if I did the install correctly? The instructions say to enter the code, but the install did not ask for any code. Hence the confusion. Thanks. S...

Compatability Question
I've been using Mixcraft 5 with my Edirol UA-4fx sound module via usb. This is on my new desktop that also has a creative soundblaster Xtreme 7.5 pci sound card. I'm thinking of buying Beatcraft and am wondering if it will function okay with my setup? Thanks for any info

win 7 x64 & DXi's
I'm getting a new system that will be running win7 x64 home premium. My understanding is that vsts and dxis that are 32 bit will not work with win 7 64. I do have Coyote forte and Coyote wt that will work with 64 bit, but what about the soft synths in Mixcraft 5? Does Mixcraft not work at all with W...

Re: Key Change Half Way Through Song
Just spent another 2 hours and I'm still stymied. I can place the marker and insert the key to change. The last time I did it, it worked! But....When I started the song over the previous section has also been changed. I think the last time it changed was because I hit the green arrow in the marker e...

Re: Key Change Half Way Through Song
Thanks. I'll give all of your suggestions a try. I looked at a number of different daws before buying Mixcraft. I've been using WavePad for quite awhile, but Mixcraft is a much more powerful application. I've been doing my key change stuff in Real Band. I'll keep trying. Thanks, again.
