Re: Discussion: Feedback on music projects

I never knew this section of the forum was here until recently. I follow the Mixcraft forum but to find this you then have to go back to the board index. The navigation is wrong. It's like backing out of a forum to get to a forum that should have probably been contained within the first forum.

Re: New Backwards Freestyle

I like the music, but it feels like it's going to explode into a more melodic and cruisey part that never actually happens, It's like it wants to come out but can't and is forced back into rap again. The quality of your voice sounds very good, if only you would break out and sing. Maybe chuck a midd...

Re: Frustrating latency

For what you want to do, it might be more appropriate to run the midi thru to your sound card if it has a midi in and depending on what sound card it is, moderate the latency by adjusting the sound cards ASIO drivers buffer to around 128 or 64 for recording. This may work also with using the USB inp...

Re: Increased RAM from 4gb to 8gb but...

I'll assume from the fact that windows is indicating 8g ram that your running a 64 bit version of windows 10? With that addition of ram, your operating system will run smoother but it won't change much how 32 bit Mixcraft will function. You would have to be running the 64 bit version for Mixcraft fo...

Re: Mixcraft 8 Pro. Any major differences between 32 and 64 bit?

Actually, this debate did get me thinking about the differences here as to other DAW forums. In other DAW forums, if there were difficulties running the 64 bit version (when they were coming in), the discussion went straight away to hardware. ie the reason it wouldn't run properly was an under power...

Re: Mixcraft 8 Pro. Any major differences between 32 and 64 bit?

However, you need to recognize you are not every user and accept that needs vary. The same could be said of your points which always revolve around 32 bit Mixcraft. I'm well aware that some users like you have a collection of 32 bit plugins that work better with 32 bit Mixcraft and I acknowledged t...

Re: Mixcraft 8 Pro. Any major differences between 32 and 64 bit?

I mean if you run a 32 bit system you cannot have other DAW's on it because most of them can only now be run on 64 bit computers. I also do not think the advantages of 64 bit that I have outlined are presumptuous, they are just the reality. Saying that 64 bit is "gaining ground" isn't corr...

Re: Mixcraft 8 Pro. Any major differences between 32 and 64 bit?

I would like to vote for 64 bit and would say go for the 64 bit version of everything if you can, 64 bit OS, 64 bit Mixcraft and 64bit plugins. 32 bit is really only for those who have lots of old 32 bit plugins they like using or they have a 32 bit OS and can't/don't want to change. If you only hav...

Re: Can Mixcraft 8 take mixed Audio drum tracks-convert to midi parts

You can do it manually in Mixcraft. I used to do this in a program called Acid. Acid had in-line midi editing, which means you could edit the midi notes on the track itself. You could open up the audio drum loop in a track, expand it length ways and height so you can see a giant wave form, then open...

Re: Installing both 64 bit and 32 bit versions

That's clearly incorrect. At least three of us are saying that 64 bit MC will grind to halt if you load it with enough 32 bit VSts. Righto, I guess I don't use a lot, I've got 3 songs on the go at the moment, they would be using the most, more than the other stuff I'm doing. To be honest, I wouldn'...

Re: Installing both 64 bit and 32 bit versions

I find myself in the opposite position, I run a 64 bit os and 64 bit Mixcraft and would prefer all plugins that come with Mixcraft to be 64 bit. It would be good if Mixcraft had a totally 64 bit version. Initially, I cringed at running 32 bit plugins in 64 bit Mixcraft but Mixcraft doesn't seem to c...

Re: New Users having some issues

Use the ASIO drivers for the focusrite. Download the new ones from their site if you don't have any. Set to ASIO in Mixcraft preferences then sound device. You might then want to check that the ASIO buffer is set to around 128 (you might be able to go down to 64) on the focusrite. It's a bit hard to...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

After finding the light regarding the shift key, I am wondering why the shift key has to be deployed at all. If you select a group of notes in the piano roll, then it would be more intuitive to be able to move the velocities up or down in the controller window straight away without using the shift k...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

1: Shift key. the shift key allows you to adjust all selected notes at once. Friggin hell!!!! I thought something like this would happen, some key somewhere, shift+drag. I think I might just punch myself in the head right about now! Thanks Mark, just shaved off untold extra hours of work from futur...

Re: Mixcraft Suggestions!

This list is getting pretty long and I don't have the time to go through all the posts to see if these suggestions have already been made. I am using Mixcraft primarily for midi creation and editing and I have also used other DAW's for this and other purposes in the past, sometimes in a professional...
