Re: Issues with DSK VST's
Hi again Greg, yes, I have the .DLL and an instruments folder along with that. The instruments one has folders that I haven't worked with before. Do I have to do anything with the instruments folder? I normally just use the .DLL one and any instruments will open within that.

Re: Issues with DSK VST's
Thanks Greg, the last bit you said may be the problem. I will go back and try that asap. I would have thought the .DLL file would be all that is required, but you are saying there may be instruments within that.

Issues with DSK VST's
Hi all, anyone having issues with DSK VST instruments? I used to be able to use them in Mixcraft, no problems. But recently I have tried to load DSK Strings, and it does work but is breaking up like when you have too much feedback with a delay effect etc. Nothing I change in the settings for it help...

Re: Finally Giving Up on Mixcraft
Mmm, joined the forums this date and hasn't asked a question before, even thought they have had so many issues with the product? I have Mixcraft Pro Studio running on Win 7, 4 gig of ram, and a 160 gig drive, and I have done radio jingles that are played on FM radio stations here in Australia, and t...

Re: How do I make my recordings sound good through speakers?
Think it was Brian Wilson who was only happy with a studio recording after he had heard it through the equivalent of a tinny mono car radio speaker - because if it sounded good low-fi it was going to sound good anywhere. This and what Mark stated is the absolute truth, end of story. This is what ev...

Re: Amp Modeling?
When you record your 20w amp does it still sound warm/hot? I presume you are asking me the question. No, the tube amp guitar sound when played back from the recording computer, using any DAW, not just Mixcraft, never has the same rich sound. And I expect that as we stated earlier, it is trying to co...

Re: Amp Modeling?
Agree Mark, the thing with ALL amp modelling circuits, is that they are all digital circuits and lets face it, the good tube guitar amps are all analogue, with some later designs using some digital circuitry in the pre amp stage to obtain effects etc, but the real deal amps are all tube design. I us...

Re: Amp Modeling?
Hi all, I must say, if it's convenience you want, amp modelling is ok, but from another amp builder here, you will not beat the sound of a nice little tube amp with a good mic in front of the speaker. Even better if you put a nice analogue effects unit before the amp. You will then stop searching an...

Re: DSK VST'S WITH MIXCRAFT
Hi, decided against the set, if they were just normal VST's, yes, but sample players don't really interest me. The less mucking around I need to do to get a sound, the better. The nylon guitar is great, but I bet many of the pack don't match it in quality. Probably lots I would never use, being a pu...

DSK VST'S WITH MIXCRAFT
Hi all, just wondering if anyone is using the $25AUD VST pack from DSK, and if so what is the best format to select when ordering? I currently use a couple of their freebies, mainly the Nylon guitar, and it is so close to the normal instrument, it is difficult to differ. In the purchase pack, it lis...

Re: Splitting midi keyboard
Where I was going wrong, I wasn't opening the instrument twice, instead trying to split it in the one window, and of course each time I reset the range, it changed what I was trying to achieve in the first place.

Re: Splitting midi keyboard
Yes, I can do that, but I am just trying out a heap of different sounds. I guess I can just put it to record, but don't hit the start button.

Re: Splitting midi keyboard
The only way I can do this is to open another digital track and set it up there, but when I do this I can only monitor both tracks by enabling record mode for both tracks. If not, I can only monitor one or the other, but not both. This may be normal?

Re: Splitting midi keyboard
Many thanks, yes, I understand all that, but the issue I have is when I am trying to split the same instrument into two ranges. I want the left hand end to be set to a higher octave than what it currently is. This because I am using DSK Dynamic guitars nylon VST, and the chord side is too deep in so...
